Right now I'm mibbe's aye, mibbe's naw. They have a lot of arguing to do in the coming 2 years and I shall be paying close attention. I really don't want the Euro, lol! That's my main turn-off.

What about you?

Why don't you want the Euro?

I agree with you, it depends. In the past, the Scottish Government haven't always been responsible, not sure how they'd manage governing the entire aspect of a country and that will open up the national security issue. But then Westminster isn't perfect either.

I know in Scotland we spend far more per head on health than England do, so there's no arguments that our health system can become worse, it can only improve. I suppose the same could be said for education because the Scottish Government pay our fees - even when they went up to 9 grand. It was Westminster that raised it, and the English don't get their fees paid. But I did hear that they were thinking of removing this.

Re Euro, I'm not that keen on it, especially with the finances of the other EU countries. I know ours isn't all up there but I thought the Sterling Pound was pretty steady most of the time.

Ironically, Scotland and England merged in the past because Scotland turned broke (or so my professor says!). Ireland is independent and they're not doing that badly so I guess we could do it too but what about solidarity? Lol.

Re manifestos - I take them all with a pinch of salt because they only do 1 or two anyway!

I did remember attending a debate for/against it in first year, and one of the guys there said there would still be free movement across the Scotland/England border so commuting and travelling wouldn't be a pain in the neck.

Doing anything special tomorrow night?

I'm going to eat porridge and haggis and then drink irn-bru and whisky.

Nah, my friend's mum is hosting a "ball". It's always hilarious, she thinks she's dead posh but always ends up smashed and spills something down her dress or on one of her "special" cushions.

Basically we just have a dead nice meal and a bit of a party. I can't stand the whisky, makes me choke.

The first thing I thought of was actually the scenes in the movie American Beauty where they're lying on a bed of red roses.

Just read that you have goats. First off, marry me, Queen of Awesome? Secondly I seem to recall you living on a farm or something so I know that they're not exactly pets, but I've been wanting a pet goat FOREVER. How much work is involved in keeping one? I've kept a horse before so I'm used to hard work, but this would be a nice one for the garden rather than out at stables.
*huggles autograph* My holidays were nice, thanks :)

Our goats actually are pets because my mom and I refused to let my dad sell them. There isn't really that much work, they're much easier to keep than a horse! We feed them some grain everyday and in the winter we get a few bales of hay for them (that they inevitably climb all over). About once or twice a year we get a farrier our to trim their feet, which is really the only thing about having them that's kind of a pain in the but.t.

All in all, they're really easy pets! They're lots of fun and they keep our pasture from being overgrown with too much forage.
Sounds awesome! Our garden is about an acre. While the front is all prettied up, the back is literally a massive plain of grass. There's people a couple of miles down the road who keep goats (they actually wander onto the road a lot, I've had to usher them back into the garden a few times) and I wonder if they'd sell me a kid.

Thanks for the info, Farmer Finbar :D

Sounds like perfect goat land!!
