Yeah, I always keep a spot open for pitties, but I'm not exclusively fostering them as the rescue I work with isn't breed specific. I've helped everything from Yorkies and Shih Tzus to Great Pyrenees and Neo Mastiffs. I love doing it though and it's helping keep them out of kill shelters.

That's great that you foster! Once I actually get my own home or apartment, I'd like to start fostering dogs or cats. Although I have a feeling I'd have a hard time not wanting to adopt each one. It is such a great way to keep them out of shelters.

Pits get such an awful reputation despite how sweet and loving they are. I have a pit mix and she's the sweetest, funniest dog I've ever met (I call her my piggy bull). I volunteered at my town's animal shelter and there were always tons of pits and their cages had to be locked because of a state law even though none of them were aggressive with people.
