I had this extremely long period of panic because I logged on and everything was different and I COULDN'T FIND THIS THREAD. Thought it got deleted! So glad it's still here.
How is everyone?
Always. <3Offline

I am not that good. I caught a bad cold and right now I'm not feeling so well.
BUT
My awesome grandma said she is going to knit me a Gryffindor scarf!
SO I'm excited about that.
What about you?

Offline
I'm pretty good! I work at a store that sells yarn, and sometimes people come up with red & yellow yarn and I always ask them if they're knitting a Gryffindor scarf. They almost always say yes.
This site has gotten weird. :x People can...swear now, apparently? I remember when even the most mild words were edited. Hm.
Always. <3Offline

Anyway, I can't wait for the movie. (:
I wanna see the Sectumsempra bit badly.

I miss my ron avatar, but i've got haggis at the moment for Burns night.
I think people think my bimbo's ginger cause she's Scottish but she's not. She's ginger because I love gingers
I know most Scots are dark haired with blue eyes, I'm not stupid, I live here.

I've only just seen this for some abominable reason.... but HE'S MINE!
I came on here, to tell you guys about something, slightly Potter related (mostly because it's about Radcliffes Woman in Black)
Anyways, I was googling Harry Potter pick up lines, because that's the sort of things I do in my spare time, and the guy who I have a mega crush on from work (and we've been a bit flirty towards eachother and met up outside of work a few times for movies nights at his) started talking to me asking me if I want to see Woman in Black sometime this week. I mentioned the Potter pick up lines because of Radcliffe being in Woman in Black... so it kinda fitted. And yeah. I wanted to share that with you guys. I told him no bashing Potter (he's a fan, just not as crazy about it as me), and he said he won't bash Potter, he'll just bash Radcliffe.
I miss this thread. I wish it was more active! We need to get everyone back so the page doesn't get lost again!

I heard lots of people say it's scary too. Makes me want to see it even more, even though I'm not a huge fan of scary films aha

so I haven't been to this thread in forever. I just never have anything HP related to say. I'm not a fan of scary movies either. If I watch them, I wait to rent them, or watch them online. I might do that with Woman in Black. DanRad is surprisingly cute in it too (I am not normally attracted to him at all).
Hope everyone has been good

Woman in Black has been rated wrongly. Rating it a 12A was idiotic. There were kids so terrified, screaming and crying and shaking that they had to be taken out of the cinema.
Plus, there were loads of tweens chatting and laughing after they screamed - at every. little. thing. And not a single member of staff to tell them to STFU. I feel another rant thread coming up...

What the hell is wrong with parents?! Seriously, can they not afford a babysitter, or do they just think "oh it's the guy from Harry Potter, the kids will like this one....". I wonder if it could be considered child abuse.
Also, I have no doubt in my mind if I were to see WiB I would have been one of those kids. I can't watch scary movies, they scare me for years.

It was rated 12A, that means that it's up to parents if they want their U12 to accompany them. It should have been a 15 imo. Rating a film a 12A basically says to parents "it's a bit more risky than a PG but it's not that bad really".
The last two Sherlock Holmes films were 12A too, and I can understand that, they're fine for kids if a parent wants to let them see that.
But a horror like the Woman in Black? I wonder if the BBFC actually watched the film or just saw the name Daniel Radcliffe.

Ok, so I thought I could watch Woman in Black, but after I read these comments - no way!
I really don't like scary movies that are REALLY scary...

Oh dear! I'm not good with horrors at the best of times! I can handle them better if I'm in my own house, or round a friends, because it's easier to hide. Is it really that scary, or was the tweens over-reacting? I think I might have to take a scarf to hide behind, or I'll end up clutching my friend/crush aha.

I really want to see the movie too!! But I'm thinking I'm going to wait till it comes out on DVD because I am way to chicken to watch it in theatres. I want to be able to scream and hide behind a blanket in the comfort of my own home

I saw it today. It was jumpy, but not as bad as I expected. Although there was a few times when I was expecting a jumpy bit, so my candy floss suddenly seemed really interesting
There was a couple of shots I couldn't look at the screen because there was a stupid clown doll, and I absolutely hate/terrified of clowns, so I looked away aha.
DanRad still can't act. We had a couple of people in the screen who kept laughing after every jumpy bit.
Although I did spend a fair amount of the film thinking, 'Now, if he just pulled out his wand and used this spell, it would make things so much more easier' aha.

I love the films and the books though I personally prefer the books! J.K Rowling has a wonderful imagination and I really do hope that she will keep on writing other books!

So I heard earlier this week that JK is writing a book for adults. No details on what it's about, but she is using all new publishers to do it. I personally never thought HP should be labeled as a kids book. It should have been in the teens section. It's because (I'm assuming) Harry was 11 and young adult lit is considered 12-22 year olds. Not that kids can't read them (I read LOTR when I was 8), just that it should be labeled a teen series.
I'm with you guys, if I'm going to watch scary movies, I prefer to watch them at home. I agree about the ratings, although I don't really get your ratings, it should definitely not be for kids. And once you have your kids there, it's almost worse to take them out before it's over. I was watching Jeepers Creepers with my friend late at night once, and it was so creepy, she was hiding under a blanket and we were freaking out, but once we actually got to see what the monster looked liked, all of a sudden I wasn't scared anymore. 'Course it wasn't the same for her, so maybe everyone is different.
sorry about the long post lol

I love harry potter. I watch the movie and read the book like everyday

I have mixed feelings about the new book she's going to write. If it's in the Harry Potter series/realm, that will be really cool. But I'm a little worried that now Pottermore will be put on the back burner.
edit: nvm, I just read that she said the new book will be very different from the HP series. So now I'm feeling sad.
And does anyone know when Harry Potter will be on ebook?
