DEGRASSI
Any fans? I had never heard of the show until recently because I don't live in Canada nor did I ever get The N channel. But I caught a few episodes on my father-in-law's television (he has satellite) and was drawn to it. Then we got The N on comcast and I'm hooked! I'm trying to start from season 1 online but it's hard to find ALL the episodes. It's hard to keep track because the show has like 50 characters!
And I just have to say that Emma in season 1 was SO awkward looking! But that's what I like about the show - all the characters look NORMAL. They didn't get 20-30 somethings to play high schoolers and they picked average looking characters who weren't stick thin or absolutely gorgeous. I love it!

Aaaah, I remember Kids of Degrassi and Degrassi Junior High!!! Its coming back to me now, it was about 20 years ago! It was a brilliant programme though, it wasn't like some of those teen-shows.

Yeah, in the original ones a character called Spike got pregnant and had a daughter named Emma, so they made a spin-off series around Emma and her friends/classmates. And some of the original characters are in the new one, or at least make cameos.
I used to watch Degrassi: The Next Generation all the time...but then it went a bit weird, and some of the characters graduated...It's not as good now, in my opinion.

I liked the older episodes of the next generation one but now it's just crap, the one from the 80s was pretty good too.

Does anyone else really hate Lauren Collins (Paige)? I think she's so ugly. I can't stand her face. That makes me sound so horrible but for someone reason her face just makes me want to stick a pencil in my eye and swirl it around a bit. I thought it was hilarious during the Jay and Silent Bob episodes when they made it as if Jay and Silent Bob thought she was sexy.
