Omg, I have now found my new home. This show is my absolute obsession, I'm so into it that I pretty much get close to tears every episode xD
Atm, I'm up to JJ's episode in season 4, as that's what is broadcasting in Australia atm. Effy's episode tomorow though, sooooo excited!

I just love that the show is a more real, and not all about the popular/unpopular school people like most teen dramas are these days. It's really just normal teens, which makes it easy for EVERYONE to relate to, even if they do not live the same lifestyle.
Basically, BEST SHOW EVER. No doubt about it (:

IMO they all look so basic and... American. Only US Michelle is prettier than the UK one. But the rest... wtf.
I could maybe like them, if I could see them as completely new characters. But THAT'S an almost complete rip-off of the UK version. I won't be able to like them, because all I'll see will be original characters from UK version.

And I think it will loose it's magic without the British accents, swearing and British "scenario". I can actually feel an American vibe from it. It just looks so American. So basic.

i'm afraid to look at the skins US trailer... how bad did they eff it up, you think? I had no idea that there was a skins thread. love it, and i'm from the us, but i'm afraid the us will ruin it.


I peeked. Ugh, what a mockery of season 1. I thought maybe they'd write a new story.

Yeah. Most of the characters have slightly different names.

And Stanley? hmm I understand why Sid couldn't loose his virgininty, he really looked like a loser, cute, but still. Stanley looks like some cool skater boy. And his hair. My Spanish teacher calls that kind of haircut "pen drive".
I don't know yet if the actor has any acting skills, but he managed to look like a piece of wood in every scene. IN A TRAILER. hmm

I showed my boyfriend the trailer last night. He was looking forward to another version... we are saddened by this lack of creativity on the part of the creators of the US version. None of the us version characters will hold a candle to the originals. blahhh.

There's gonna be a big up-date on the E4 website in a few hours yikes

Skins Tour 2011 has been announced, but all of the venues are over 300 miles away from me. Except for the one in Edinburgh, which is still over 100 miles away.

I think Nick isn't a typical popular guy, he's not as shallow as his girlfriend. Right. Mini. She's so LOL-tastic. I like some of the TV shows she does, though. But that doesn't change the fact that she's ridiculous. She likes Mean Girls - omg. She's probably one of them. big_smile I wonder how she and Rich will interact, if they will at all.

But the actress looks really beautiful.

I watched the US one. It was bloody terrible. It just doesn't translate well hmm and it's almost word-for-word.

I think I read somewhere that they were just copying the first couple of episodes to get it going, then it was going to go in another direction. Hmm.

Here in the US, I wouldn't be surpised if they cancel the show. I like it, but parents say it's "child prnography." Ads and commercials already stopped because nobody wants to sponsor the show.

But I saw the trailer for the UK version and its 100000000x worse. hmm
