Yes it did get quite emotional and even sweet at some points, but at the same time I'd feel like it had gone too far too suddenly. Though I suppose Effy was always a bit nuts hmm
Just my opinion about the ep though - I don't know enough about what could be wrong with her to pass remarks, and I did always find Freddie less interesting than the others anyway!

Ok, I must say, Katie's episode was amazing. This season makes me like the characters I didn't like earlier, and hate the ones I liked. Like now I love Katie, but I can't stand Naomi & Emily. Ehm, when they're together.

Freddie's episode was also very good. I wasn't really expecting it to be that good, since Freddie is a boring loser, but I guess it was Effy that brought the awesomness. wink
Kidding. The storyline was actually good. We got to know what happend to Freddie's mum, and know all the problems he and Effy are dealing with.
Also what is happening to my bb Elizabeth?! She was perfectly fine episode ago. For the whole episode I just sat there, and silently begged her to call Tony. I think it's weird how they were very close in 1 and 2nd season, they were pretty much like the most epic siblings ever, and now Effy doesn't even mention him. I'm glad we got to see at least a photo of him.

JJ episode was... I don't even know what to say. Like I said in the beginning, I liked JJ in the 3rd season, but not now. They should have given that episode to Panda. Maybe it'd be more entertaining.
I know next ep is going to be Effy's, so I was just waiting for "NEXT WEEK" to show up.

EDIT: Did you notice that JJ uses Anwar's ancient dating strategy? ^^

Looks like they're all set for another 2 seasons.
It was a cool episode, if I hadn't known about the ending already I would have thought that the psycho/psychiatrist was going to hurt Effy in some way.

I'm getting soft, I cried almost all the time. Especially when Effy mentioned Tony. ♥
I'm also very shocked. IT should be no suprise, since Kaya spoiled me (!) but how all that happened was terrible, and that's what shocked me!
I'm kinda speachless now.
So I'm here to say that I loved what Effy said to Cook, when he asked her if she remembers him - "How could I forget? You're my friend."

I'm such an Effy/Cook shipper, and I love Cook. ♥

I had it spoiled for me on FB as well but I still found it the most shocking thing I have ever seen on tv. I'm actually heartbroken, this was worse than Chris in season 2. I actually can't believe that just happened, I'm gobsmacked!! I don't know if I can watch the next episode now sad

I actually thought it was going to be Cook that got killed when he was trying to get Effy off the road. I think the worst bit was the blood splattering on the window.

I still thought Chris' was worse. I loved him. Fuck it for Chris big_smile

I bet they will find him at the last minute next week and then we will never know what happens. It's the last in the series?

Haha Beau, I live far too far away from London or Bristol, and accommodation there is expensive. I'll still keep on e-mailing about photographing on set though.

Ha, that ending had Cook all over it! Good stuff, I really started to like Cook towards the end. Start of the ep was pretty blah, but it got better. I like how they didn't wrap everything up nicely for all the characters. And I'm glad there was no mourning bit for Freddie because that would have slowed the pace down an awful lot. I guess maybe the writers knew that there was no beating Chris' funeral in S02!

seee i would have disagreed with you about 15 minutes ago but then i was thinking about it, it is skins, as much as i would have liked to see a happy ever after ending, it was never going to happen. now i completely agree with you in the sense that it would have totally slowed down the pace, also its nice making up your own ending in the way is panda going to tell thomas that she's going to the same place.
it was nice. wish there was more episodes, hope the new cast as just as good and the previous.

I'm wondering about the next 2 seasons now too. I hope the cast are likeable. And that the writers don't try to outdo themselves by making the storylines crazier and more dramatic than the ones for this generation hmm

@InFlames - Bryan Elsley, who wrote this episode and is one of Skins co-creator, won't be writing anymore. So let's hope they'll get some fresh meat with fresh ideas to write the new season. ^^

Actually, I liked the ending of 1st generation much better. And it's not about the Chris' funeral, which btw was epic, but about... yeah.
We got to know what happened to each character. Anwar, Maxxie and his boyfriend went to London together, Sid and Cass went to NY, and all the other characters were discussing their future somewhere in the season at some point.

Now, what we know, is that Freddie's dead, Cook's epic, Naomily are together (which doesn't really spoil anything) and Panda and Thomas are going to Harvard.
But where are Naomi, Emily, Cook, Katie, JJ and Effy going? We don't know.

That's why I feel like there should be another episode. That's why *facepalm* happened every five minutes.

AND I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT NASTY PSYCHIATRIST.

Naomi and Emily are going traveling together, that was a big moment in the episode lol.
JJ is happy with his new gf and her baby.

I agree that Effy was strangly brushed to the side despite being the major player in all 4 series.

I would assume that Cook killed that guy lol, he's mental.
