LOL how could you not see it? If you say you live in New Zealand, everyone assumes you are a "Whale Rider" expert. I wanted to see it because Cliff Curtis was in it

LOL dead on there. I think most of whale rider was filmed around Taupo and Gisborne.
You should get out to Kaikoura, it's one of my favorite spots. I take my kid down there to see the seals.

Haha. I soooo soo so want to go there but I cant cos then we have to get someone to look after the animals and mum wont go and I'd rather go with her than dad. The furthest I've been around NZ was down to Welly on a schoo camp. haha

But LOTR isn't a NZ movie, is it? It's filmed there, yes, but isn't it produced by... americans or something?
My class watched Whale Rider, and none of us liked it. I don't get what's so good about that movie

yeah i know i was just kidding lol...what was that black sheep one about??? and Whale Rider is based on an old Maori Urban Legend of how one of our ancestors first came to New Zealand...if you knew the background of it you would understand it more...it's kinda hard to explain without going into too much detail...

Lord of the Rings was produced and directed by Peter Jackson who is a Kiwi and filmed in New Zealand. The Special effects company is also out of New Zealand. The films are executive produced by New Line Cinema.
Peter Jackson rose to fame with a movie called "Heavenly Creatures" about a famous murder in New Zealand.
sykesbaby, I love Black Sheep lol. Every time a sheep comes out at me I say it's the black sheep coming to get me.
