This thread is a place to share and talk about underground movies you might have seen and enjoyed, with other bimbos.
Most indie films we wouldn't have heard about through mainstream media. Or not very much about them anyway. Therefore it's sometimes hard to pick a good one from a pool that can have a lot of garbage in it. lol
So lets share
Or you can even just share about really quirky films that might have actually been popular.
Has anyone seen any of these?
-Hedwig and the Angry Inch
-Niagara, Niagara
-Seven and a Match
-Twin Falls Idaho
-The Hole

You know what child? I like your style!! hahaha I've seen all those fantabulous movies except Seven and a Match. Hedwig is the hotness for sure!!! Kara did you ever see Breakfast on Pluto? That movie is the business!! haha Also lovin' those hotty Siamese twins in Twin Falls Idaho, you know how I have a weakness for the conjoined variety!! hahahah Remember Brothers of the Head!!! We totally have to watch that again, Those Siamese rock star boys make me hot!! hahaha The music has good in that movie too!! haha You know I love my Niagra, Niagra also. Of course, can't forget my favorite part, hahaah Not as filthy as your P**** C***, F****** C***!! hahaha All of the above are great movies!! Why is it that all of the best movies are depressing. But in the best way possible, more than enough to make you feel connected! hahahaa WE FEEL!!!! YAY!

Punky that's a great idea!! We can be called the midnight vultures! lolol jk. Did you like Hedwig by any chance?
Well twin falls Idaho is about a set of conjoined twins and all the troubles you get into when you have someone else attached to you.
Niagara, Niagara is about a girl with terrets syndrome and wants to go all the way to Canada to get this black barbie thing because they don't sell the black ones in the US. She seems to get herself into alot of trouble with her terrets problems.
Seven and a match is about seven friends that used to hang out all the time at one of the friends parents summer home. The girls parents died so she invites her friends up to stay at the house like old times.
The hole is about a 2 boys and 2 girls getting locked underground in some old war bunker. Struggles for food and water go on. But who locked them in there? And will they get out? DUN DUN DDDUUUUNNNN lololol
What are some of your favorite movies punky?
And Kristin, I have never seen breakfast on Pluto. Is that a good one? lol I guess so if you wrote about it on here. Hey remember the worst movie ever? Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow!? AMAZINGLY STTUPPID. It did look really cool though.
Has anyone ever seen the Pride and prejudice the BBC miniseries version? The one thats like 6 hours long? One of the best movies EVERR

Yep, I liked Hedwig...I have some of the songs on my iPod and listen to them all the time. I liked the epic Pride & Prejudice too. All the shortened 2 hour versions irk me.
Breakfast on Pluto was pretty good, you should watch it! And I'm going to get Twin Falls Idaho. I have some faves listed on my "about me" page...

Hedwig is an amaziiiiing movie! And Michael Pitt is in it, so that's a plus.
I just want to say I love your signature, too. I bought the first season on DVD because it's epic.
Always. <3Offline

I Capture The Castle.
A wonderful British Indie film, based on a fabulous modern classic by Dodie Smith, set in the 1930s

My favorite indie film is "Lost In Translation" one of my all around favorite all time films.
Off the top of my head I like Garden State, Sling Blade, Party Girl, The Opposite of Sex, Being John Malkovich, Clockwatchers, Once were warriors, run lola run, Mad Max and super size me.

Ahh So many posts I want to write to!! So I will just write a whole lot in one! lol
Ghost face - Have you ever seen delirious? Micheal Pitt is amazingly gorgeous in that movie! AND it's a really good movie as well! P.s I also own the first season too! Which episode is your favorite.
Edie and Jilie - Garden State I used to watch on repeat all the time lol. The soundtrack for it was really great as well!
Kawakami- I love lost in translation too. The ending made me sooo sad though but I guess that's why I liked it so much because it actually made me feel something.
Punkybrew- Epic is probably the best word for it. The other ones make me really mad too. I've read the book and seen almost all of the movies and the one that seemed the least like the book to me was the Kiera Knightly version. Another good conjoined twin movie was Brothers of The Head. lolol Its about the twins being in a rock band together.... it was amazing!
Corazie- I don't think i've ever heard of that one! I want to check it out now.
Any of you like foreign films? How about Amelie or Love me if you dare?

Offline
Yay, Amelie! Love Me If You Dare was soooo...not what I was expecting. I didn't much care for it. The best foreign movie I've seen lately is Let the Right One In. It's Swedish I think and just came out on DVD last month. It's a very quiet film, but I was thoroughly entranced the whole time.

Love me if you dare was not really what I was expecting either... I kinda liked the ending though everything else was slightly reminiscent of A lot like love but more immature lol. I liked it a good amount though lol. Let the right one in, I will have to remember that did they have it at the video store or did you have to buy it. It's lame because I used to work at blockbuster and rented 5 free movies a week and now I feel so sad because I have to pay! Unless I go to the library of course lol

I love this one indie movie called Imaginary Heroes

That is one of my top picks of new movies out recently. "Låt den rätte komma in" It is Swedish and adapted for the screen by the original novelist. I have a review of it on my blog if anyone is interested.
I am watching "Confessions of a Super Hero" right now.

Movie Blurb:
"The story of four mortals who make their living working as superheros on Hollywood Boulevard."
I am halfway through it now and it's a about 4 people who are trying to make it in show business by dressing up like costume characters and standing in front of The Chinese Theatre in LA. They make money posing for photos and asking for tips. I am finding it interesting and a little sad.
I was thinking it might be fun for one of us to propose a movie and we could all try and watch it and discuss, what do you think?

Kawa that sounds like some of the movies i've seen before and loved. Like King of Kong is about a guy who wants to get the high score in the video Donkey Kong LOL. Its Great though. So I would probably like to check out imaginary heroes.
Wow that's a really good idea! We can be like a movie club!! Does anyone have any suggestions for a movie we should all watch?? We should have a whole bunch of people list one with a brief description and then we can all take a vote. Does that sound like a good idea?
My entry to the vote will be spellbound (Since I have it out from the library right now)
It's a documentary about 8 kids who are all competing to win a spelling bee. It goes a little bit into each kids home life but it's pretty much like the kids lives are all about the spelling bee lol. The kids are pretty strange and I thought it was hilarious the first time I saw it.
Anyone else?

I wanted that one really really shy girl to win! The one that's always like I know I wont win, I probably wont even get passed the first round. lol Aw she was so cute and I felt so bad for her because she was always down on herself. That one boy was insane though LOL " Dooo I sound likee a musical robot?" hahahah
