No you don't have to restart training, you can quit your job at any time without paying or restart training. The baker training is kind of a little bug, so if you quit and wanted the job back again you just click and you get your back =]

I'm not too sure why the journalist takes 30 and the architect takes 20, I think it was because at the time, there was only level 1-20, the levels 21+ were off limit topic. Period. If you were on level 20, you couldn't even know about level 21. So I think they just kept editing everything, and having 40 days training is unreasonable, so I think they just did like a "restart" thing. Like the job after level 21, it's 30, and then 40 and so on

I had no idea that the severance pay is lower than the price of training hein I know that they hadn't refunded me the whole amount, but i thought it was a bug fou rire

The job count only counts down for every day that you logged in (ie. bimbo days, not real life days).  Maybe you forgot to log in some days, which is why it feels like the training is longer.

I don't think there is a severence pay for the hair dresser.  When I quit that to be  a secretary, I didn't get any money back, not message or anything.
