Home country: Croatia
Mythical creature: Veles
Slavic god of earth, waters and the underworld, associated with dragons, cattle, magic, musicians, wealth and trickery. He is also the opponent of thunder-god Perun, and the battle between two of them constitutes one of the most important myths of Slavic mythology.

In his role as a trickster god, he is in some ways similar to both Greek Hermes and Scandinavian Loki, and like them, he was connected with magic.
Veles was also believed to be protector of travelling musicians. For instance, in some wedding ceremonies of northern Croatia (which continued up to 20th century), the music would not start playing unless the bridegroom, when making a toast, spilled some of wine on the ground, preferably over the roots of the nearest tree. The symbolism of this is clear, even though forgotten long ago by those still performing it: the musicians will not sing until a toast is made to their patron deity
One of his attributes, as mentioned, were horns of bull or a ram, and probably also sheep's wool. As stated already, Veles was a god of magic, and in some folk accounts, the expression presti vunu (weaving wool) or, particularly, crnu vunu presti (weaving of black wool) stands as allusion to magical crafts.

Legend of Curupira
The Brazilian folklore is rich in characters and legendary Curupira is one of the key. According to legend, told mainly in the interior of Brazil, the Brazilian Curupira inhabits the woods. Of short stature, has red hair (color of fire) and his feet are turned back.
The function of Curupira is to protect the trees, plants and animals of the forests. His main targets are the hunters, lumberjacks and people who destroy the forest so predatory.
To scare the hunters and lumberjacks, the Curupira emits sounds and assovios acute. Another tactic used is to create illusory and frightening images to surprise the "enemies of forests." Hardly is located by hunters, because their feet are turned back to outwit the persecutors, leaving false trails by woods. Moreover, its speed is amazing, is almost impossible for a human being reach it in a race.
According to legend, he loves to relax in the shade of mango trees. Often lead children to live with him in the woods. After delight children and teach the secrets of the jungle, returns to the young family, after seven years.
The counters of legends say that the Curupira loves those who enter preach pieces in the forest. Through spells and illusions, he leaves the visitor forfeited and stunned, not knowing the way back. The Curupira is observing and following the person, fun to know your done.
We can not forget that the legends and myths are stories created by the imagination of people, especially those who live in rural areas. They are part of that context and generally carry explanations and lessons in life.

I am from the United States and I chose Pocahontas.
She was a beautiful Native American woman who ended up marrying an Englishman named John Rolfe. She is daughter of Wahunsunacock, a Powhatan, who ruled tribes in Virginia.
Pocahontas is one of my favorite characters from a fairy tale, she's gorgeous, courageous, and independent.

country Greece ,Athena
Though she was considered a goddess of war, she was a goddess of wisdom, arts, and health to others. The character of Athena is something which represents the most jack of all trades type of god. While many of Athena's family members held specifically one duty, she proves to be the independent who studies all of mankind's trades, developing into one of the most loved and honored gods in Greece.
There are many tales of how the goddess Athena came to be. The first, and most popular of the myths of her birth is her escape from the head of Zeus. In fear that the child of Metis, Athena's mother, Zeus swallowed her much like his father had done so before. Seeing as each generation was overcome by their children, he had much to fear. Below is a quotation describing the event.

HEY , I am from Portugal and this a national legend and the Barcelos' c*ck is a cultural symbo
The Old Legend of Barcelos' c*ck
Once a certain man was condemned at Barcelos', a small town on the North of Portugal, to be hanged for a crime which he had not committed.
In vain did he swear his innocence but found no alibi to prove the truth of his affirmation.
Under a sudden faith impulse, he appealed to Our Lady and St. James, his patron Saint, for protection, imploring them to release him from the unjust sentence he was going to serve.
Then, he asked to be allowed to go to the presence of the Judge, since it was his last wish. The Magistrate received him in his dining room, where he was having a meal.
Once again, the man under sentence of death, swore his innocence, and as a sudden defiance to Providence he added, that the roasted c*ck which lay on a tray on the Judge's table would get up and crow if his statements were really true.
And, indeed, the rooster immediately jumped up out from the tray and started crowing vibrantly.
This legend has passed from generation to generation down through the centuries and the well known and typic c*ck of Barcelos', is therefore a symbol of faith, justice, good luck and hope.
i hope you liked it

In some instances, she's explained to be the goddess of tactical warfare, whereas Ares (or Mars) is the god of brutal warfare! Just an interesting tidbit from my Greek mythology obsession stage! ^_^

I'm from the US so there aren't a whole lot of original fairy tales here, so I've choosen a character from Alice in Wonderland. THe cheshire cat
The Cheshire Cat is a fictional cat appearing in Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Alice first encounters it at the Duchess's house in her kitchen, and then later outside on the branches of a tree, where it appears and disappears at will, engaging Alice in amusing but sometimes vexing conversation. The cat sometimes raises philosophical points that annoy or baffle Alice. It does, however, appear to cheer her up when it turns up suddenly at the Queen of Hearts' croquet field, and when sentenced to death baffles everyone by making its body disappear, but its head remain visible, sparking a massive argument between the executioner and the King and Queen of Hearts about whether something that does not have a body can indeed be beheaded.
This is my modern interpretation of Cheshire Cat in Bimbo form.
