King Arthur was a legendary leader of Britain who helped defend our green and pleasant land from invading Saxons in the 6th century. He is famous for his knights of the round table, and for his beautiful consort Guinevere. However, theirs was an arranged marriage, and Guinevere did not love Arthur. She fell in love with the King's chief knight, Lancelot. This betrayal is said to have caused the downfall of Arthur's reign.
Here is D'Shaunique as Guinevere

I'm American, and America doesn't really have any mythology. There are tall tales though, and one of them is the tale of Johnny Appleseed. Johnny Appleseed had eyes as blue as the bluest cornflower, he wore old patched-up pants, and a rope belt to hold them up. He wasn't very tall, he never wore shoes, and he wore a old pot on his head. After the American Revolution, people were moving into territories where no settlers had been before. Johnny wondered where people would get their apples from. He had a dream in which an angel told him to to travel west and plant apple trees wherever he went. Along the way he made friends with a wolf who was his closest companion. The years passed and a snow storm hit. Johnny Appleseed found a cabin and lied down on the porch. As he closed his eyes, an angel came and told him that he had done all he was asked and more, and the angel told Johnny that he would take him to a place where he could plant his remaining seeds. Johnny was found in the morning with a smile on his face and an apple in his hand.
( This hat was the closest I could come to a pot!)

Morrigan Irish Dea
Morrigan by Koehen
The Morrígan ("terror" or "phantom queen") or Mórrígan ("great queen") (also known as Morrígu, Morríghan, Mor-Ríoghain, sometimes given in the plural as Morrígna) is a figure from Irish mythology who appears to have once been a goddess, although she is not explicitly referred to as such in the texts.
She is associated with sovereignty, prophecy, war, and death on the battlefield. She sometimes appears in the form of a carrion crow, flying above the warriors, and in the Ulster cycle she also takes the form of an eel, a wolf, and a cow. She is generally considered a war deity comparable with the Germanic Valkyries, although her association with cattle also suggests a role connected with fertility, wealth, and the land.

this is Morgan le Fay, also known as Morgane, Morgain, Morgana.
Morgan le Fay is in Celtic mythology, King Arthur's sister.
she represents not only the feminine side of his power, but also the spiritual and magical.
she is the inhabitant and the guardian of the mystical kingdom Avalon, where nobody can simply arrive.... Avalon is located in a lake on an island, which also exists in reality.
but only those who can see, hear, feel and smell can recognize Avalaon.

The Mermaid of Zennor - from Cornwall.
http://www.connexions.co.uk/culture/html/mz.htm has the full story, but basically Morveren was a mermaid who fell in love with the voice of a young man, and began to disguise herself as a woman, with her long skirt covering her tail, to be able to see him. Each night she'd stay a little longer, until finally he saw her and gave chase, eventually joining her beneath the waves.

I did The Jersey Devil
Home Country: USA
The Jersey Devil, the supposed mythical creature of the New Jersey Pinelands, has haunted New Jersey and the surrounding areas for the past 260 years. This entity has been seen by over 2,000 witnesses over this period. It has terrorized towns and caused factories and schools to close down, yet many people believe that the Jersey Devil is a legend, a mythical beast, that originated from the folklore of the New Jersey Pine Barrens. Others disagree with this point of view. The following text will show there is evidence to support the existence of an animal or supernatural bring known as the Jersey Devil. The evidence consists of the stories of the Jersey Devil's origin, the sightings of it, and finally, the theories on it.

Peter Pan is the boy who won't grow up. The very spirit of youth, he travels from the enchanted isle of Never Land to London just to hear Wendy Darling spin tales about him and his adventures. While his ego may seem inflated at times, even his arch-nemesis, Captain Hook, knows that Pan's no ordinary boy. He can fly without wings and match Hook's cutlass with nothing more than a dagger. He's also the undisputed leader of the Lost Boys, and allows no break in the ranks, not even from his best girl, Tinker Bell the pixie. When she disobeys an order, Peter impetuously banishes her forever. Only after Wendy reminds him that forever is a long time does he shorten the sentence to a week. Either way, time makes little difference to him. Life is nothing but fun, whimsy, and adventure when you never grow up.

I'm from Estonia. I hope this fairytale is made in Estonia. I think it is made here, but i'm not sure.
In Corpse Bride movie there is one song what i like so much. Here it is.
Corpse Bride sings:
If I touch a burning candle I can feel no pain
If you cut me with a knife it's still the same
And I know her heart is beating
And I know that I am dead
Yet the pain here that I feel
Try and tell me it's not real
For it seems that I still have a tear to shed.
(PS. Sorry, but i'm not good in English. I hope you will all understand everything what i am trying to tell you in my description of Corpse Bride.)
I really hope that you like it

I'm from Norway, and this a goddess from our old mythology!
Hel of Helheim
Hel was the Norse goddess of the dead, daughter of the trickster god Loki and the giantess Angrboda. Shortly after her birth, Hel was cast out of Asgard, home of the gods, by Odin. He sent her to Helheim/Niflheim, the underworld, and made her queen of all who died from old age or sickness. Warriors who fell in combat did not become her subjects but went instead to the hall called Valhalla to live with Odin. In early Norse mythology, Hel was also the name of the world of the dead.
trickster mischievous figure appearing in various forms in the folktales and mythology of many different peoples underworld land of the dead
Sources describe the goddess as a half-flesh-colored and half-black woman, some say ugly other beautiful. She lived in a castle called Eljudner and ate her meals with a dish named Hunger and a knife called Famine. She was attended by two servants, Ganglati and Ganglot, who moved so slowly that they appeared to be standing still. Hell, the English word for the underworld, comes from the Norse word Hel.

I'm from the USA. So, as we don't have that many native legends not based on fact, I picked Calamity Jane from the USA.
"Calamity Jane was a frontier woman of some renown. Many legends and stories have been told about her. It is difficult to sort fact from fiction in many cases, but one thing is certain, she led a life that few women of that time would have survived."

I CHOSE THE HUNGARIAN MYTHOLOGY 'THE WHITE STAG'
although i live in Australia my grandparents are Hungarian.

Nimrud was the great legendary ruler of ancient Sumeria. One day, his two sons, Hunor and Magor went hunting. They saw a great white stag which they pursued. The stag continuously eluded them and led them to a beautiful and bountiful land. This vast land was Scythia, where Hunor and Magor eventually settled with their people.
In Hungarian mythology, the stag is also seen as a mystical being with magical powers and whose role was to indicate the will of god and to guide the Hungarians accordingly.

AMERICA- Marilyn Monroe (born Norma Jeane Mortenson, June 1, 1926 – August 5, 1962; baptized Norma Jeane Baker) was an American actress, singer, model and film producer. The final years of Monroe's life were marked by illness, personal problems and a reputation for being unreliable and difficult to work with. The circumstances of her death, from an overdose of barbiturates, have been the subject of conjecture. Though officially classified as a "probable suicide", the possibility of an accidental overdose has not been ruled out, while conspiracy theorists argue that she was murdered. In 1999, Monroe was ranked as the sixth greatest female star of all time by the American Film Institute.(information received from Wikipedia)
