Thanks everyone for the great ideas and yummy recipes! That bean soup sounds delicious.

I have thought of getting a Rachael Ray cookbook for a long time, her recipes look simple but her abbreviations are beyond me. But someone in the ninja thread helped me with what EVOO is. LMAO!! Maybe I can also put that on my Christmas list!

Thanks smile  Most beans and rice recipies I've looked at use a ham hock.  I tried it with that, but I prefer pepperoni better.
Plus, this is very inexpensive to make.  I had to come up with something when I was broker-than-broke, and this was it.
Oh yeah, and it FREEZES well too big_smile

Re: Quick and Easy Recipes Please!

Here is a recipe in return for your guy's help. This is something that my ex taught me to use. My hubby NEVER lets me make it though because he hates tomato soup. So it's an acquired taste. But it's cheap!

Tomato Soup
Corn
Grean Beans
Peas
Whatever kind of meat you want.

You have to water the tomato soup down just a tad more than you normally would and mix everything in with it from the beginning. Make sure that the meat is already cooked though. The best kind of meat to use with this is itallian sausage! It's SOOOOOO yummy! But if you're poor and the only thing you have in the house is chicken or hamburger, that works too.

Re: Quick and Easy Recipes Please!

2 slices of bread
Peanut butter.
Jelly.
Set bread on counter.
Throw peanut butter mercilessly at slice of bread on left bread until bread begs for mercy.
Wad up slice of bread on right and use it to scrub the side of the jelly jar.
Slap one slice onto the other.
Grab like an animal.
Shove into mouth
Burp.

Re: Quick and Easy Recipes Please!

I do that already Zombesque, only I'm weird and I use butter instead of jelly. LOL! My hubby thinks I need my head checked.
