Tonights Presidential Debate

...is happening a few miles from me.  It is the most annoying debate ever.  Neither candidate seems to be gaining/losing any ground, they just argue over who is lying about the other person more.

On the other hand, this means that everything will stay the same.  Which means that obama will win big_smile

Re: Tonights Presidential Debate

It is slightly surly.

I still say that when robot intelligence and reasoning is at the same level of a humans I'll vote for McCain...maybe.

My husband is forcing me to watch it and trying to engage in conversation. But I'm all "duh..." and sometimes I put in a "they both suck" or "this is boring".  <.< I don't like politics. lol

Re: Tonights Presidential Debate

Maybe my hearing is off but does McCain's voice sound a lot like Bush's voice? I swear to God I thought Bush was talking just now and I looked at the screen and it wasn't him. o.O

Re: Tonights Presidential Debate

That was an insanly boring debate.  Although, it would be great to study if you want to learn how to answer a question without actually answering the question.

I put my voter registration in the mail over a week ago or so.. Don't remember exactly when, but it does make me wonder how long it takes to do through snail mail.  D;

Is your boyfriend a republican, then?  Fox is the most obvious news station in their bias.  D;

Last election, I was nine days too young to vote. )=  I turned 18 on the 13th of November back in '04.

The postmark deadline says October 6th for Texas...I do hope that the post office in this area isn't nearly as incompetent as the post office in my parents' area.

Re: Tonights Presidential Debate

I just finished watching it because I am trying to decide on who to vote for. Watching it is like being in an elementary school or something, they are just trying to tattle on each other.

Does anybody know a good website for learning about the issues? I have never really like politics but I figure if I 'm going to vote for the first time then I should make an informed decision. What I want is something that says the issue, what the current administration is doing and what each of the candidates plans to do. It's so hard to find good information that isn't swayed.

it SHOULD be fine if you put it in a week ago. as long as you put it in by 5:00pm on the 6th, it should count. i wouldn't trust the post office that much though

Re: Tonights Presidential Debate

ugh...I HATE Fox news.  There is so much propaganda and spin I get dizzy from watching even a few minutes of it...I mean, if I want to hear the Republican side of the story, I read the New York Post.  If I want to have a good laugh at ridiculous nonsense, I watch Fox News.  It is hardly worthy of being called "news."

lol I kind of feel that way about all the other networks! Unfortunately, journalism doesn't really exist anymore.
