Enterprise!

Hi!
In school we have set up a young enterprise. Basically a few students run a company within school in order to make a profit and experience business, as business studies students.
At the moment we are brainstorming on ideas on what we can send into production and we are stumped...
I would like your opinion on not too pricey ideas that i could pass on and use for Young Enterprise!

It would be greatly appreciated! big_smilebig_smilebig_smilebig_smile
Thank you

P.M me also! i love new friends! big_smile

Re: Enterprise!

Sweet shop or crisp shop. I realised with this whole school kids eating healthy and all that there weren't enough junk food. So I opened a little black market while at school. Sell the sweeties. If you get it in bulk packs like at supermarkets you will surely be able to make a 100% profit. It happens.

Re: Enterprise!

WE have to do that this year aswell Young entrepenours they call it in our school. In my school the team that makes food always gets the most but it really depends on what your cantene facilites are like.  In my school were not allowed out for lunch and everything in the cantene is coated in fat so the company that made bagels made lots of money.

Re: Enterprise!

oh right! yea. the thing is, with our school already on a healthy rule thing! (thanks Jamie) we aren't allowed black markets etc. Our sixth form centre managed to squeeze a slightly grey market and its allowed but it is the only exception. For YE, we are interested in goods, rather than food.. any ideas? thank you for replying btw, didnt think anyone would! big_smile
Glad im not alone on this ! big_smile x

Re: Enterprise!

With the black markets you gotta be careful because if you are the wrong kind of student they will be gunning to expel you since it's not allowed.

Jamie Oliver is a teenagers nightmare!

Charm bracelets. Get in there for Valentines day or Christmas. Or you guys could make like little toys or teddies. My brother did some in design technology. Then you can sell it in time for Christmas or even Halloween.

Halloween masks? The scarier the better. Fake blood packs. The redder the better.

Re: Enterprise!

Also if you say something like your donating to charity and actually donate certain share then that could increase sales.

Re: Enterprise!

you should make up little candy boxes and decorate them to fit the season( eg. valentine's day, christmas, or easter) adults could buy them to put on their desks or to give to their kids sell it for 5 dollars ...thats what my JA Company did n we won top sales.

Re: Enterprise!

I would tap the talents of the students in your group.  Maybe one of them is good at crafts.  You could search the internet for projects if no one has a crafty hobby.  One thought off the top of my head is picture frames.  You could buy cheap, plain picture frames and then get beads, glitter, etc to decorate them with.  It would be something that the students would be interested in buying as gifts and for themselves.

How about jewelry?  Are you wanting something for the kids to purchase and sell or make and sell?  Either way, let me know.  I make jewelry and so I could help.
