For all new bimbos, let me tell you the most important rules of this forum. For those from ma-bimbo, the rules are the same...
1 You cannot have more than one account. If you and another family member or a friend both have a bimbo, you should tell the moderators.
2 You cannot ask for votes, neither on the mailbox nor on the forum. You cannot send
a mail to tell a bimbo you voted for her.
3 Spam is forbidden, you cannot send a chain letter.
4 You cannot ask for someone's password, personal email, or other personal information from the other players. Please, if you receive a mail like that, tell an administrator or moderator immediately.
5 You are on a forum, not on a cell phone, please speak correctly, no sms language, and as much as possible no slang.
6 Advertising is forbidden. You cannot advertise your websites, shops, clothing etc.
7 Cyber-Bullying is forbidden. Calling names, directed insults, and intimidation will not be permitted and action will be taken.
(If anyone feels i have missed something, or thinks something else should be added to the list, please PM me).

Though I don't use slang or 'txt spk' myself, I find that rule unfair.
I don't agree with the usage of '|33t 5p34k' in general, but surely you can stay aware of the fact that this site and forum are here for fun, they're not military run and they have no right to censor the way people speak. If slang is an everyday part of someone's vocabulary you've no right to tell them they can't use it.
Will you be adding a section for dialect also?

I agree with not allowing "txt spk". It's just so much nicer to read something intelligable and well written! You dont have to peer at the screen, frown and say "Huh?"
I'm not disputing that it's nicer to not have to struggle to read something, I prefer not to have to do that myself.
I just think it's stepping way too close to a Big Brother run type of organisation. If they're not insulting people, not swearing or breaking actual rules, why is it an issue?
It was, to be honest, the mention of slang that got me more annoyed than the 'txt spk' comment.
I don't agree with the rule for either of them, but I can UNDERSTAND it in relation to 'txt spk'.
I cannot understand it in relation to slang. Because for a lot of people slang is an incorporated part of their everyday language and censorship like this is ridiculous.

could you please include a definition of what, exactly, constitutes spam. i think there is some ambiguity since it just says "you cannot send a chain letter"
edit: e.g., starting multiple threads

the definition of a spamming thread wold be multiple threads all saying the exact same thing.chain letters on the net are nearly identical in nature to their snail mail counterpart.

I will make the suggestion for you and see what happens

slang has a way of going to a different level than just being part pf converstional language.as many believe that swearing in the context of it being slang in a conversation.

Then you should be more specific and state that SWEARING is not allowed. There's no reason to take it to slang. None at all.
- I am, for some reason, in a foul mood today. I normally steer clear of forum issues and just enjoy myself on the games one.
I'm not saying I'm forcing this issue simply because I've nothig better to do, I would feel the same way even if I hadn't responded directly here. My thoughts are genuine, I'm just trying to say that I'm not intending to cause arguement or issue, I prefer to stay away from things like that when I come to this site for my own amusement and enjoyment.
Also: My question regarding Dialect was sarcasm intended to highlight how absurd I think the rule is
Please don't actually recommend it, it implies you didn't get the jist of my original post.

I find rule 5 to be fair and just. It allows access to all in using the site. People using this site do not all speak English as a 1st language? They still are trying to learn the language and not its butchery, as well as the school age children. There are people with dyslexia and Laurens syndrome and the like. To remove this rule puts up a barrier between them and the site. To insist on the right to force text speak on other's of unknown origin is just plain rude and offensive to those who have no interest in using or reading it. And yes, we are not saving on our cell phone bills here. This is a public internet forum open to all. Text speak was created to reduce cell phone bills by reducing the number of characters texts, to be paid for. It was used in a non professional/business setting between two friends. Now it is all the fad and unnecessary. To use it on an open forum with no specific reader in mind can cause problems for others. Multiply meanings exist for the same butchery in different circles leading to miss interpretations. If the rule was consistently enforced there would not be any nasty threads arguing about it and users would not be attacked by fellow users over using or objecting to its usage.
I am in full support of this rule.

And translators on the internet can't translate English text speak into another language

Thank you. I though of that after I posted. They also can not translate contractions. Not as a forum rule but an etiquette rule, we should also avoid contractions.

maybe you're right, english isn't my 1st language ( I speak Polish), but I think that if text speak will be allowed I could learn something, not only formal language. this would be difficult to understand but when I'll be older I'll know more worlds, and it'll be easier to talk with foreigners

I never received a gift asked several people about it but never got real answer from what I gathered there is really no gift...Also I agree with Ferraux if you start telling people what they can say and how when does it stop??? People from all over have different view points, culture, and ethics. This game allows people from different places to interact, talk what one-person thinks, and says can have a different meaning to someone else. Who is going too decided what is appropriate? The other rules sound great but I think people will still not follow them.

i would like to point out that i do not believe the intention of this post was for deliberation. this is meant to be an informative post. i believe Bebe92583 asked for a PM if there was an issue, not a discussion within the post. this is exactly the type of post i feel should be locked. all rules need to be posted in the 1st post for easy access. in two weeks i do not want to have to look through 37 pages to make sure i know all the rules.
thank you
