Re: Just curious

Did you have any problems on your wedding day? For all the stress I felt leading up to the wedding day I was sure something was going to go wrong but everything went by perfectly!

Re: Just curious

We were so busy planning the wedding that we forgot the marriage license so we had to do it the day of our wedding. The problem was we both had to be there and I had already got my hair and make up done. So the whole time we were at the court house he had to avoid looking at me.

I don't think there was anything else that went wrong, well that I know of. Thanks to family and friends, who ran around and made sure everything went smoothly.

Oh! I think I would be so frustrated if that happened!
But that's great- you get the wedding but forget the thing that actually, legally marries you! smile

Oh no! I remember having to sit and fill that out not fun! At least everything else went well smile. We were given the wrong cake, and let me tell you I was not happy about that. It totally clashed with my cake topper which my grandma had made especially to match my cake!

Your dress is so pretty by the way coeur

Re: Just curious

I think I was lucky. Absolutely nothing went wrong with my day. It was perfect. I look back now and think I can't believe I was so stressed and worried that things would go wrong.

Re: Just curious

I was legally married on July 31, 2004. We will have been married 4 years this month.
He and I have been together since May 10, 2000.

My day was kind on bumpy! I allowed my mother to have final say on my dress, and it was beautiful, but it wasn't "me" (NEVER, EVER do that, fellow Bimbos!), and my hairstyle reminded me of prom, 1986, so I should have just done it myself! Other than that, all was great! Everyone said that they had a great time, and I think it was a pretty ceremony.

I don't understand why people start their marriage off in debt! That is soooo stupid, in my opinion! I couldn't justify that, for myself! I didn't spend $50,000. on mine (like some of my friends have)...That is a down payment for a house!!!! I got married at a chapel, and had my reception there, too. Check out my location! www.chapelatthepark.com

We spent less than $6,000., and it was great!

Say what you think and act how you feel because those who matter don't care and those who care don't matter.
Forgive my misspelling! I sound out words I can't spell, and I have a southern accent!

Re: Just curious

your dresses are all spectacular!
I got married when I was 16. Im 18 now. It lasted a week. Im serious, I was 16 and living in Italy on exchange. I met an older guy and we hit it off, and I decided I wanted to stay in the country. We cooked up this plan to get married to i could immigrate legally. Then we all went to a huge disco with all our friends, stayed up all night being crazy, and then went to the italian equivilent of city hall to get legally married. I was wearing dark blue jeans and a white cashmere sweater because it was freezing, and my hair had been braided with flowers stolen from a woman's window box by one of my friends.
It was good fun, but kind of a stupid idea.
We had it anulled about a week later. I still have the ring. Its a huge glitzy costume ring in a rose shape (because my name is rose).

I know it was stupid and probably everyone here will crucify me for saying this, but it was so much fun. And its a great story to tell.

Re: Just curious

Thats ok Kahlua, lots of people get married for many different reasons.

My wedding cost about $12,000 and we had to pay for about $10,000 of that. My parents paid for the rest so I'm just glad I could have the wedding of my dreams at that price smile
