I understand that you may feel touched if someone from another country or another culture tell you a joke of this kind, but that's not what's funny, what's funny is precisely the opposite, that someone makes fun of his/her own culture/country.

For example:
There were to men in a bar talking about religion, and one of them says:

"You know, I'm God's Messiah."

And the other one says: 

"What? Are you kidding me? I am God's Messiah."

So they started a deep discussion about religion, faith, values, until an Argentinian passed by them and one of the two "Messiahs" stopped him and asked him:

"Sorry to bother, but wich one of us do you think it's God's Messiah?"

And the Argentinian answers:

"As far as I know, I haven't sent anyone anywhere".

I believe you're missing the point...This did offend people...Just because an American posted it...Or if someone from Mars posted it...It doesn't matter...It offended people on this forum...And you think oh well that's fine it's okay to make fun of people...It's not...

I'd also hate to point out the person who posted this...She said she's NOT American...So your entire argument is bunk...

Ok--I don't know what's been going on for the 4 pages of posts before this one--but I just had to say HILAROUS map!! Thanks for adding some humor to my day, fellow American. Sometimes people take things too seriously. It's nice to poke fun at ourselves every once and a while and have a good laugh!

Here's a question.. When you Americans who are getting cranky watched the Simpsons and they made episodes which played on stereotypes and made fun of the following nations:

England
Canada
Australia
Cuba
Japan
China


(Just to name a few. Off the top of my head.)

Did you laugh? Or did you just glare at the television?

And I'm not even being cheeky, I'm serious. Do you laugh when Americans make fun of countries other than your own?


Then again, I suppose I should apply some cultural relativism. I'm from Australia, and in my country, satire and parody is how we make humour; I know in England satire and Black Comedy are very popular (gotta love British humour!!!)

HAHAHAHAAA. Im sorry, really. I'm American and I find this map funny. It's okay to poke fun every now and then at ourselves. And as Miss teen said in that video.. well I actually don't know what she said..
