Im totally loving the "i think im offended" responses. Decide whether you're offended or laughing BEFORE you see what everyone else is posting.

Me-- I'm laughing because it is SATIRE. No poop that everyone doesn't think like that -- it's poking fun at the fact that Americans are horrible at geography and tend to over simplify things (case in point: OMG! It's making fun of us and assuming we're all stupid-- I'm offended!)

I am an American and my geography teacher showed us a map like this in class once except it was just of the states. Tennessee was labeled as Nashville, California was Hollywood, Iowa and Ohio were screwed up and Idaho was marked as potatoes with a question mark. So is it offensive when we're making fun of ourselves for not knowing our own states?

I know the states
had to memorize all of them and their locations in 5th grade

Congratulations-- you missed my point. I know a four year old who knows all his states and can place them on his puzzle map. I also know peers at my college who think Idaho is on the east coast. And I know plenty of people who don't know all their capitals. So by saying you know the states and the capitals just means you had a teacher who taught them to you-- whereas I went to a school district that didn't feel the necessity to do so until my sophomore year in high school-- and it was optional.

All this fighting is pointless though. Some of you are offended-- congrats, you have an opinion and you see something you don't like and you voiced your opinion. Those who didn't feel it was offended-- congrats, you defended the joke and your beliefs.

Spending another eight pages berating each other, however comical as it may be to someone such as myself, is a waste of time and energy. Seeing as we have another 18 hours till we can do the Bimbo games again go on ahead. I could use some amusement
