Wow. Some people need to lighten up! I'm American and think it is only too true! If more people spent time on world news and not celebrity news that would not be the case. My husband and I laughed like crazy!

Sorry but all the Americans who are arching their backs over this.

I don't think it's so much that we don't have a sense of humour...It's that people actually believe *All* Americans are fat dumb and have been on Jerry Springer...Joke or not it's only propagating the stereotype that Americans are geographically challenged...Which a lot of us are not...
This *Is* Prejudice...Whether it's in fun or not...And against the rules...

I'm an american, but I think this map is really funny. I know not everyone in the USA is a moron, but thanks to our national obesity and poor education system, there's a good reason we get a bad rep as fat and stupid. The main problem we have though is electing presidents that make us look like a country full of war mongering tards. Our leader is supposed to represent us, so it's not unfair for the rest of the world to judge us based on "the decider" and his cronies.
Offline

Actually the president is submitted by the Electoral College which is a group of representatives from each state...Certain states have high reps such as California ( 55 ) versus Montana ( 3 )...So the president doesn't represent the people...The president represents whatever state has the most reps...And even then...The reps can vote for whomever they want ( See Kerry v. Bush 2004 )...Popular citizen vote wasn't for Bush...But the Electoral College voted Bush back in...
Regardless of what people think of the American v. Middle East war...Saddam is still gone...Period...
Only 40 million people in the US are considered obese...That's 13% of the entire population..
Currently more than 1 billion adults are overweight - and at least 300 million of them are clinically obese. Current obesity levels range from below 5% in China, Japan and certain African nations, to over 75% in urban Samoa. But even in relatively low prevalence countries like China, rates are almost 20% in some cities.

I think I've just proven not all Americans are stupid...

I'm American and I thought it was funny. I mean people get a grip it was supposed to be funny. I'm from Texas and if I got all huffy everytime someone made fun of us it would take up all my time. More power to you and keep the funnies coming.

My Scroll to view my babies!!!

I can see how it's offensive, but it's also kind of cute. I wouldn't be surprised if the person who did it was American...but then again the way some people hate us so I would find it equally unshocking that it wasn't...
Oh, well nevermind.
Also, "Coffee" is spot on.

I never said specifically a person is prejudice...I said the picture is....And how does it make you feel to hear over and over again that you're "Tiny anorexic and a geek" ? It gets tiresome I bet...I get tired of hearing that because I'm American that I'm stupid...

Again funny or not...It's still prejudice and propagating a preconceived notion of Americans...Make a joke about someone who's Black and see how far it gets you...

Good! It was just a joke! whz did americans got it soo serious?! it was just a joke! sure there is dumb and smart peoople all over the world, and as long as we live there will be jokes like this for all contries! Jokes are for laughing, not thinking trough it!
What if someone had told a joke about blonds?!

I think it is funny.
and it was probably an American that made it.

I am American, and I still got a little giggle out of it! I've seen it before. I understand how it could be taken as offensive, but I know that I don't think in that way. I don't know any of my friends who think that way either, so I can see it for what it is: entertainment.
To those who get offended: while it may seem like a personal shot, it isn't. If you know that it's not true, shouldn't that be enough?
