25 things about most asians

Lolol, I'm Korean, and a lot of that stuff has never happened to me.
And I haaaaate chopsticks. Hand me a spoon and fork any day!! xD

OMG!!! i love this thread!!! im an asian too!! im actually filipino, thanks for mentioning it.. although its loooong.. i wanna comment on each things:

1. We do not understand the words "ching chong".
-true, most of those sounds like chinese (if im not mistaken). but we use "tiyong" still sounds like chong as our uncle

2. Not all Koreans make nuclear bombs or eat dogs.
-cant comment on that, im not korean.. and of course they dont eat/we dont eat dogs!! its our pet!!

3. Just cause you see an Asian person it doesn't mean they're Chinese, they could be Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Filipino etc.
-true!!! im filipino.. but some asians dont look alike really.. most of chinese, japanese, koreans have light skin (actually great skin) and us filipino's, vietnamese, malaysians, thais have semi-brown skin just like a natural tan

4. We are not all communists.
-definitely!!

5. Asian girls with long black hair HATE being called The Grudge or the girl from The Ring8. Same goes for Asian guys and being called Grudge boy.
-nobody likes that! but i havent experienced that because refer to #3 im tan and my hair is curly

6. We don't use THAT much M.S.G.
-i saw one post, the meaning of MSG, in here (phils) that's vetsin for food tasting

7. Don't ask us to speak our language, we will when we feel like it.
-hmmm.. ya..

8. We don't know how to translate your name so stop asking cause most likely we can't.(I actually had a person who came up to me when I lived in america and asked what his name is in korean, I just said this swear word in korean saying it his name in korean. It was hilarious, he went around going "I'm *swear word in korean here*)
-i cant either... i think it came from chinese.. because most of them have they're chinese names

9. Don't ask us to teach you curse words either.
-yes pls.. but i will if some of you visits my country so you'll know if someone's cursing you (not all people is nice)

10. Stop trying to pair up Asian guys and girls at your school and say they look cute together. Not all Asians belong together.
-correct!!! asia is consisting of a lot of countrys, each of us has own culture and beliefs

11. All Asian countries speak different languages.
-yep!! definitely!! we're not multilingual

12. Just because we're Asian it doesn't mean that we know karate, kung fu, tae kwon do etc. Even though we are probably capable of kicking your butt anyway.
-duh!!! karate and kun-fu is out here in our country, the in-thing here is boxing.. go pacman!!!

13. Don't say all Asian people look the same, that's like saying all white people look the same, all African Americans look the same and all Hispanics look the same.(when I look through a book about asia and there is an asian in the background of the picture, I say "hey that's my aunty/uncle!" and they actually believe me.)
-pls refer to #3 some asians have light skin and some are tan

14. Surprise! Not all Asians are good at maths.
-TRUE!! i know chinese people are.. and im totally not good in math, i took up ommunications!

15. Not all Asians are short.
-yep!! yao ming is asian. and i think im quite tall for a filipina, im 5'7

16. Or skinny.
-guilty.. im overweight..

17. Just to let you know, it's NOT funny when you tape your eyes up and start speaking gibberish. That just gives us another reason to kick your butt.

22. Don't ask if the Chinese use cat in their food, if they did they would label it "cat chow mein" instead of chicken chow mein. They don't use cat if you didn't already guess that by now.

23. No...Yao Ming is not my uncle.
-yes, he's not your uncle, coz he's my uncle!!! lol!!

24. Chopsticks are the perfect utensil and the easiest to wash.
-love using chopsticks.. but we dont usually use it, we use spoon and forks here and with some delicacies, we use our own clean hands.. i use chopsticks if i go to chines, jap, vietnamese resataurants here

25. People from India are Asians too.
-yes, they are our asian brothers and sisters..


i truly-truly enjoy this!!! such an eye-opener for everyone here..
i just laughed when i read the other thread about asians having single eyelid.. that's funny cos i dont have it..
thank you Taisusuenanda for this thread, its funny and very informative.. i met a lot of koreans here in the phils (we have a lot of korean visitors here), according to them they love our beach and i have a few classmates in college too.. koreans are very nice..

Omg, this manifesto really didn't seem like humor thing to me. It's rather sad.
Maybe you can make a list of funny stereotypes about Western people among Asians as a kind of revenge?

For example when I was in Japan many peple didn't believe I like rice (they thought I eat potatoes everyday) and didn't believe I really like Japanese food - they thought I lie to be polite.
