Help! Dog weight!

what's the average weight for your pet? mine weighs about 8.18 now is that ok? x

The ideal pet weight is - 7.716 lb

its better to be a little over than under weight smile

nope that weight is fine
my pet is overweight by about 2lb
but id rather it be over than under smile

7.7 is ideal for cats, too. I try to keep mine anywhere between 6-8, she seems to be just fine.

When I got mine it weighed 8.8lbs so surely they wouldn't give me an over weight dog. I have not actually seen anywhere apart from the pet info thread which is written by a user that says what the weight should be.

My dog was also 8.8lbs when I got her, so I just assume that is her ideal weight.
Tori - what pet did you get? Maybe it varies by pet?

EDIT:
Duh, I just checked your profile, we both have dogs, but you have the pug and I have the smooth coat dog??? I think it was called.
