Re: Bimboland HQ weekly update and complaint letter
Grr! That first e-mail made my blood boil!
I really wish those people would listen to themselves, they obviously have no idea what it is like here on the forums and actually playing the game.
They need to get a life and a clue and stop ranting on about a game they havnt ever played that people enjoy playing. Nobody wants to hear their ranting because they have dull non-existant lives and have nothing better to do. So sorry you have to listen to that sort of stuff.
Mm I'm guilty of being a media bimbo too
but I didnt join to see how bad it was
the idiot side of me just sort of went "haha sweet!"
edit: I'm super duper excited about the site!! You should totally post a count down thread, when you know exactly how many days. That would just make everyones excitment bubble over

Re: Bimboland HQ weekly update and complaint letter
I also checked out the site because of the bad press, and fall into the "old" category as well, also 29-yrs-old. And frankly, to call me a feminist is an understatement. If anything, I'm even a little angry and militant about it. I've got 2 masters degrees, one from Duke University, which ranked 4th in the country while I was there. My point is that I obviously don't fit the stereotypical mold of the kind of girl that some may expect to find this game enjoyable.
And frankly, for me to call this site enjoyable is also an understatement! Like everyone else in this thread, I'm hooked! Maybe it's just me, but I see such a tongue-in-cheek element to you guys' approach to this website that it makes me love it even more. I despise the Paris Hiltons, Britney Spears, etc., of this world, but I absolutely adore this game. So I thought y'all might like to know that even a stereotype of the kind of person that would normally hate this game totally digs it. Thanks!

Re: Bimboland HQ weekly update and complaint letter
Haha, I too joined here because the press said so many horrible things about this site
I was curious... But I think it's a great site... there probably will be some youngsters (talking like I'm very old... I mean young children, age 10 and 11...) who will be somewhat influated by all this but on the other hand there is all those skinny anorexic looking girls in the media too who are promoted daily... I think they do much more damage than you do...
And don't stop this site... You should thank the bad press 'cause a lot of people have joined because of them en saw that it wasn't that bad! Haha!!! In their face!
There is just one thing that should be cleared by the press... Allthough I don't know if it's only Belgian press who says it's not free like you have to pay for everything and can't join for free ... That made me hesitant first to come here but fortunately I decided to take a look anyway...
Looking forward to the updates too... I'm playing on the french site half and half but (allthough I'm from Belgium and our second language is French) I don't understand any of it... (stupid me:P)

I found the game because of the negative press. While I have some issues with it, (mandatory breast enlargement to level up, especially. I'd love to be able to choose my breast size), overall I'm having a blast.

I guess I'm in the "old" category as well - 27.

I think this site is a lot of fun. Try not to take the hurtful mail to heart. This site was designed with a wry sense of humor, and those who are so upset completely missed the joke. Thank you for keeping us updated and thank you for all your work!

Re: Bimboland HQ weekly update and complaint letter
I too joined the site after the negative press it received, and I cannot say I have ever been on a website I have found anywhere near as enjoyable! I have been 'scanning' the internet, I guess, for a few years now, looking for a site like this; somewhere revolving around fashion; but which had a competitive side to it also. This was the answer to all my searching!
The people creating the bad views of Miss Bimbo have so obviously never spent time getting to know the ins-and-outs of it, or they would realise, in fact, just how hard you've tried to give it a 'healthy' perspective. It is not promoting extreme dieting; having the bimbo's goal weight well within the healthy range. And also, how important to feed your bimbo a mixed diet including healthy items, or she could get over-weight or sick. The fact 'warnings' have also been included on things such as the surgeries also shows that you have the players' real-life interests central to the game.
So, I just wanted to thank you for the amazing job you are all doing over there! If I lived in London, I would definitely be coming to the opening! Unfortunately though I am in Australia, so, I won't be able to make it this time
I wish you all the best with it though! ^^

Thank you for the information
I guess you can count me into the "Bad report" group lol. I joined Miss Bimbo after searching for Interactive online games and found loads of links and press stuff about this site... Then off course the site itself:)
Im 29 this year so I guess that puts me in the "old" group of the site... But I am enjoying it here and am having good laughs and goofyness:) Some people tend to take things too serious tough if I should go after the first Email.. *shakes head*

in regards to the first email it seems to me this poor woman is just BITTER and has no life nor does she have a open mind if she took the time to really look at the game maybe she can find a life and waste her time on something else just my thoughts

obviously the first email author didn't have anything better to do in her life than to write emails about what other people do with theirs. I hate ignorance.

I totally disagree with the first message. Missbimbo is exactly like a dress-up game, with your own virtual young lady to care for and pamper. It also teaches some of us the importance of saving money, and spending it at the right time.

Re: Bimboland HQ weekly update and complaint letter
There are alot of people calling themselves 'oldies'. I would like to point out that the average age of the 660 000 registered bimbos is 19.1
This figure keeps on climbing as it was 18.9 only 4 months ago.
I think it is quite interesting that the demographic is changing and suddenly on line games or sites to 'hang out' in the forums etc are becoming places for people in their 20s and 30s as well as teens.
The media believe sites like this are only for 'kids' but they have it totally wrong. I think players in their 20s and 30s themselves feel that they are 'old' on this site but as soon as they come out the woodwork they realise there are alot of people like them online. My guess is that there are lots of people in professional jobs and in government departments sneakily logging in to Miss bimbo to give their bimbo some soya milk during their lunch break. There is defintely a sercret closet bimbo group afraid to come out and be proud but slowly they are doing so! One day an eduacted journalist will admit to having a bimbo and then we will see some different media reports!
I will be interestd to see what the averge age for this site is in another 5 months. I will keep you informed.

Re: Bimboland HQ weekly update and complaint letter
I joined this site beacuse my mom told me about it when she heard the bad press. Her being a grade school teacher was a little shocked at the thought of young girls being influenced on this site, yet she did not see any harm in me, here 18 year old daughter being online. Because I am mature enough to see that this is a game, not the real world. And that is what seperates the players and the people who constantly complain about how this is effecting young girls. We can see the boundries between games and reality, and if you are too young or immature to see it for yourself maybe you should not be on this site, cause it is clearly not for you.
I personally find this game great fun and enjoy it everyday, so please, dont make your social problems ours

Re: Bimboland HQ weekly update and complaint letter
I must admit i heard about the game through negative news reports. I looked at the site and thought egad!!!!.. But i joined and saw how happy everyone was and so helpful. The players were bonding through similarities. In the forum they ask important questions about their own lives. They have jokes about the game and so on. But what keeps you here is the people (and the nice clothes
PS. i agree it is just a game.
Thanks to all the bimbos that helped me reach my goal of 1000 challenges!!!

Re: Bimboland HQ weekly update and complaint letter
The idea of Miss Bimbo is totally against what I believe in and stand for, and the game on the surface appears to be about what you look like and the latest fashions.
I'm absolutely hooked on it! I can't get enough and I'm sure I'll get the sack from work if I keep checking the forum at work every 5 minutes! I thought I would be the one who would say I didn't get the site but its great.
Keep up the good work Bimbo team.

Re: Bimboland HQ weekly update and complaint letter
I'm another memeber of the Bad Press Club.
I hate it when there are all these parents and politicians and "child experts" on tv are telling me that I am a delicate little flower who must be wrapped in cotton wool before it's to late and I stop eating and get myself some huge fake boobs. I'm a pretty well rounded person, thanks. I work hard at school, I have no body issue problems and I'm happy with my life.
Being younger doesn't make you less intelligent, I can just watch Big Brother to prove that, and I think the people who play this, regardless of age, understand it is just a game.
