Bimboland HQ weekly update and complaint letter

Hello bimbos,
This is my weekly Wednesday update from bimboland HQ. The aim of these updates is just to inform you about a few things that have been going on here at bimboland HQ and make sure everyone is well informed as to developments and updates.
This week Nico added some new clothes yesterday and has been meeting a company with regards to giving out clothes to the weekly bimbo cred champions. I have also been phoning around and trying to get some companies to donate some real clothes as prizes for the bimbo cred champions.
We have also seen some templates for our integration together with the French site. looks good but is long tiring boring work as they are having to transfer every page across.
Shouldnt be too far away though thats for sure.

Finally I want to share with you 2 letters/e-mails we have received. They contrast greatly in style. The first e-mail I received today. We havent received any negative e-mails for a while now so this came as a surprise (and not a very pleasant one either). After our initial launch we didnt receive any complaints at all but after the site got some negative press we received about 30 emails complaining about the site. I would say about 29 of the people who wrote them had clearly never been on the site at all and were just going on heresay. I have not published the authors name - editing her name with asterisks.
The second e-mail is one I received from a regualr bimbo player - again I have not publish her name.

heres the first:

Dear creators of the game "Miss Bimbo",

I recently saw a news report on the damaging effect your game is having on young girls.

I have a question for you. Don't switch off just yet - read on, if you're "man" enough...

Do you have girlfriends? Do you walk all over them? Batter them? Bribe them? I simply cannot see how any woman in her right mind would want to be with a man like either of you. Perhaps you are gay? Although I very much doubt it given your attitude.

So okay, this sounds like hate mail. I suppose it is. I don't know you, but I'm more than sad at this impoverished, crap, sordid little contribution you are making to a society which thinks it's ok to treat people - still mostly women but the tide is moving - like objects, dolls, to be chopped and changed to suit "fashion".

Is there nothing else, better, you could do with your time? You obviously have talents of sorts. Instead of lining your pockets on the back of young women's insecurities could you not perhaps devote your energies to something more worthwhile and fulfilling?

Try it, you might even find that you like it!

If you can stop being selfish and short-sighted for long enough.

I've asked around and believe me, most of us don't get it. By us I mean folks like me - folks your own age of all gender persuasions.

Right, I'm off, not to waste any more time on this horrible little issue.

J***** *******

and this is an email from a regualr bimbo player:

Dear Chris
I was admittedly hesitant to sign up and afterwards was even more so to post in the forums being the age I am. The game seemed to be for the younger age group but I still enjoyed it. I’ve always kept some of my childhood in me as most adults do! I finally decided to post and have run into 5 or 6 other players who range in age from 25 – 40 and are wonderful to talk to! I’ve made fast friends with at least 3 of these people. I’ve even had a younger girl (age 17) ask me my age and when I told her I was “30 aka OLD!  she replied “lol…that’s not OLD! Your in the prime of your life! . What an amazingly adult thing to say and needless to say it made my day!

I look forward to seeing all the upcoming improvements and modifications as you merge the site with the French Ma-Bimbo options.
This  is a vibrant and happy website.

Sincerely,
H*******

P.S. – As for the poor press you received; although it may have brought a negative image to your website I am certain it also brought many more registrations of curious people who ended up thoroughly enjoying themselves and permanently joining the Miss Bimbo family….I being one! wink

anyway i will write more next week.

Chris

I'm another one that came because of hearing the bad press..now I am addicted.  There is nothing worse about missbimbo.com than there is with a naked Barbie doll.  Same thing only one's online.  That first lady should find a new hobby!

Re: Bimboland HQ weekly update and complaint letter

Thanks for keeping up the good work! Myself, I joined miss bimbo because of all the publicity...I was curious, and had to see what all the fuzz was about, and I fell "in love" with the site:D...
I'm a completely normal, healthy girl from a good family and have a great boyfriend and close friends. I don't feel any need for plastic surgery or dieting from playing this game, and I just can't figure out that some parents must think their kids want to everything they see on the internet...do they think the kids are mindless idiots? And if they fear that their children will be negatively influenced from a web page, they should take away the computer, not send hate mail to the creators...that's just plain stupid.

Re: Bimboland HQ weekly update and complaint letter

Ughl. People.
I find it insulting that people think that I nor other girls and women cannot tell the difference btw a game and the real world. I also find it insulting that this writer thinks that fashion, which to me is an expression of personality, is not a credible hobby, love, or pastime.  I love fashion. I love missbimbo.  I'm also smart, going to graduate school, have a full time job, am married to a great guy, and don't have an "body issues" or ideals that are not fathomable (sp?), like huge breasts and a super skinny body.  I am smart enough to know that my "bimbo" is just part of a game smile
And fashion, as well as missbimbo, is just. plain. FUN.
But then again, some people obviously don't know what fun is. blebl

So keep up the good work with miss bimbo, Chris! We love you for it!

Add me to the "I joined because of bad press" club.
As they say, there is no such thing as bad publicity. That is what they say, right?

I just don't understand people like the lady who wrote the first letter. It's a GAME.
It's a good thing SHE doesn't play a game like Grand Theft Auto. Then she would be a drug-slanging, woman beating, drive by shooter! smile

Thanks for the updates. I wont be making it to London. I too joined due to the news reports. I love the site and am addicted. Im so glad I found this game. I wont be letting my 9 year old daughter join anytime soon though and thats because it is so hard to earn BA and BD that she would end up crying. I would also like to say I think the bimbos look better before the face pastic surgery. Totally love the bigger boobs though.smile

I have not actually heard any bad press about this game.
But  think the first writer is a complete idiot and needs to play the game and then judge it.

Re: Bimboland HQ weekly update and complaint letter

I also have to admit that I was drawn to the site because of the "bad" press.  I had never heard anything about missbimbo.com until I was watching the news one night.  I thought it was comical how upset people were about an online game because I have been told that there are ways to block sites you don't want you children accessing, & therefore had to see what all the fuss was about.  I have found miss bimbo to be highly addictive and entertaining, & still don't see why people were so upset.  If parents would teach their children about life and monitor their activities than the internet games wouldn't be blamed for false images of human life.  But, considering that most children can flip through magazine at doctors offices and such, they get the same kind of exposure there.
I suppose I should get off my soap box now.  Anyways, I don't necessarily see the "bad" press as a bad thing because it was free advertisement.  It was an advertisement I am glad that I did not miss!

Re: Bimboland HQ weekly update and complaint letter

Y'know when I first found out about the game I thought it would be this lame, sexist website. But it is now my fun little addiction! There is absolutely nothing wrong with this game for any girl/woman. It is simply a fun escapement from the real world: pretty clothing that always fits, great hair and makeup, fun games and neat forum discussions. It reminds me of Fashion Plates when I was growing up (1980's). I am a succesful professional woman with a grad degree, my own home and car, etc. To the critics: If I want to play dress up on my own time BUG OFF!  blebl

Re: Bimboland HQ weekly update and complaint letter

I also joined because of the bad press, and at first I could see what they were talking about, then I got into it a little more and realized that the press was wrong. I started reading the forums and watching the fashion contests. You have some amazingly talented people playing this game. I love the fact that you tell people not to use the lol's and idk's on the forums, and you are very strict with your rules, that shows more responsibility than I think the press gave you credit for. I am a responsible, well rounded adult. I have been called a feminist before, yet I love your game!

I CANNOT WAIT for the merge with the French sight ma-bimbo.com. Will the hairstyles and clothing become available when it happens? Also, just a suggestion, could you add a few more sophisticated career options? I know that is probably much more difficult to do than it was to say, but it can't hurt to ask.

Also a little off subject, can anyone recommend a good editing program so that I can enter more of the fashion contests?

Thanks for all you do.

Yup, count me into the bad press club.  I saw Miss Bimbo on Jezebel, which I visit daily.  Thing is, I don't blast blindly based on someone else's say so, and I do have a sense of humor.  (Some feminists have those, y'know.  Shhhh, we're undercover.)  No one gives young girls credit for being able to think for themselves or for understanding satire.  I've met a lot of very cool, very smart women of all ages here who are far from bimbos.  It's too bad the first writer didn't sign up and hang around.  Thanks for all the hard work y'all have been putting in lately; it really does show.

Re: Bimboland HQ weekly update and complaint letter

I love the Wednesday updates - Chris, you and all the team rock!

I am a 30 year mother of 1, soonish-to-be mother of another and I love this game. I don't think this game is sexist or insulting to women. The main thing I like about this game is that it brings women and girls of all ages together to play, discuss fashion, fun and more serious issues. I don't know anywhere else like it and it's fab!

I'm guessing that some people might judge it on appearances and make assumptions but when you dig under the surface you realise it's far more than that. We bimbos know not to judge things or people on appearances only - perhaps these hate-mailers should take a few leaves out of our books.

Bad press club here too.  I needed to see for myself how terrible this site is.  And it was nothing like the press described.

The person who wrote the first letter really didn't get it did they.  They could not have explored the site properly, tried things out, and so on.

I am really really looking forward to the date in the near future when MissBimbo and Ma-Bimbo run the same code and have the same features.

Re: Bimboland HQ weekly update and complaint letter

I am "old" (as in 29), and I do not find anything wrong with Miss Bimbo! Maybe it is because I too have fake boobs, and I like to shop and visit the gym, but I would not call myself "bad" for doing so. And I am not a bad parent to my step daughters (ages 10 and 12) for allowing them to play the game either. They enjoy it, and if they grow up to want cosemetic procedures and designer clothes, I will not blame Miss Bimbo, because it is the world we live in. Such decisions are made in a personal way, and with consideration, by adults. If they are led to make such choices as adults, based on childhood gameplay, then they will have far deeper problems then Miss Bimbo could be blamed for! Good Luck to your business. May it continue to prosper!!!
