So, my bank account is overdrawn, just a bit, because of charges from 'help me download.com'. I'd never been there until I saw the overdraft and went to check it out. Still not sure what it is, exactly, that this site does.
I told my bank there's no way I'm paying any of this, especially since I pay for identity theft protection. And yet, they keep calling. Telling me I owe them. Telling me these charges were made before I signed up for ID protection (Really? I signed up for that shiznit when I opened the account.
)
Several times a day, they harrass me. Even on Sunday. The grand total of my overdraft, counting their fees...$160.
Jackasses won't reverse the charges. They can kiss my butt. There is NO WAY IN HELL I am ever giving them a dime.
Avoid Wells Fargo, ladies. They're psycho and unprofessional.
End rant.

Uggh I hate wells fargo. They screwed me over. One day I went and emptied out my acct and told them to close it. Never asked why either!

My dad had a Wells Fargo account until a random overdrafting occurred.
Six hundred dollars went missing, for no reason, and when my dad went to pay the house payment he overdrafted over $500.
Needless to say, my dad's a tough man and had the money refunded and the account closed within the month.

Both my Mum and Boyfriend have been victims of this.
Luckily nothing serious my Boyfriends credit card was copied (they think at a local petrol station) then they tried to use it in Malaysia. Unfortunatly for them my blokes card is always maxed out so the transaction failed and the bank spotted it so sent him a new card.
My Mum was trying to pay for something in a shop and her card was refused. She went home rang the bank they asked if she had spen £1.25 on Itunes, which she hadn't. They had canceled her card because of it, so although they saved her from any larger amounts being taken it would have been nice to have told her! However no idea what happened there my Mum is super careful with card and all her details. She shreads any post she gets (even if it doesn't have any details on it!)
The best you can do is go in to a brach and sit down and talk to someone. I find banks are much more likely to help you if you are with in range to hit them in the face!

I might have some sort of spywear on here. I didn't even think of that. I only use my bank card to pay one bill online, on a supposedly secure network. I'm so paranoid that I bought a gift card for miss bimbo. Fat lot of good it did me.

You should think about setting up a paypal account for MissBimbo and whatever else you'd like to buy online.
You have no commitment to use the site and they send you an e-mail receipt of all transactions so you'll know when to call and be like "***? There's somebody on my paypal. Money back plz."

My boyfriend and I were both victims of our bank cards being stolen/copied within about a month of each other. Mine was last Thanksgiving weekend when I was out of town at my parents (which means I didn't check my bank account online for three days, whereas I normally do it daily). When I got home on Sunday, my bank account was overdrawn by $300, which meant they had taken $1000 from me. To make matters worse, I was unemployed and had been for about 5 months. That was all the money I had left in the world! My bank was awesome though. I just filled out some paperwork, made a police report, and within a week and a half, all the money was bank in my account, including fees! I love credit unions.
My boyfriend lost a lot less. After the first suspicious transaction, his bank converted his card to debit/pin code required, so anytime someone tried to use it as credit, it was declined. He's with a different credit unions. I'd never use a bank as long as I have a credit union option. Banks are out there to make money, credit unions are "owned" by the customers, so much better services.
Good luck getting everything straightened out, Zena.
