I've never seen them actually say white-welsh and so forth it has all this other stuff that i ignore...
I generally refuse to fill them in... i wouldnt on my PN1 form for student finance... luckly that was oppional otherwise there would have been trouble...

what if your mother was a carraibean your father and african and you were born in Asia but are still a british citizen...

I was once asked by a Japanese "But Hitler did something good for you (Polish people he meant), didn't he?
I was so surprised I didn't know what to tell. Anyway I don't think they learn much in schools about it. But I was such amazed how strange convictions people on the world have. I started to think what the heck could he mean and finally the only good thing I know is a piece of highway, but it was built for III Reich, not for Polish people, but we got it after the war with some piece of German teritory. But I don't think anybody can consider it "something good done for Polish people".

Do you mean Caucasian? I can't remember off the top of my head if that's the word facestats used.  If so, it's a term we use in the US for white, and apparently means someone of light skin pigmentation.  Basically, its the word used for anyone of light-skinned European descent in America.

Blue eyes and blond genes are recessive. As you noticed, Hitler didn't fulfill ideals of pure Arian, nor many Nazis. They would have to kill themselves to eliminate blood contaminated with non-recessive genes.

While I'd agree that it's not necessary or relevant to job aplications and stuff, this site is meant to be fun. And like it or not, this is a means of classifying skin tones. I know a number of Philipinos and Japanese people who have no problem with being called asian. I am neither african nor american, but I don't get upset at the phrasing. When someone says white or caucasian, I know what they mean generally and that, to me, is the point. Getting your general point across.

People can nitpick all they want about the Spanish or the Greeks or what have you, but someone sort of said it earlier: The country you're from does not determine your race. Certain countries have a higher percent of certain races, but there are Black people in China, and there are Latinos in Ukraine I'm sure.

I'm not going to tell anyone that they can't be offended by it, because that's their business. I just think that for the most part getting up in arms about it is silly.

Well, from what you wrote here I see you agree with me. We were talking about Equal Opportunities Froms, which I assume are part of political corectness, but I think the way the DIVIDE people is sick.
I'm not very fond of political corectness, I think common sense, respect and politness would be enough, but I understand why PC had to be introduced in some countries.
I know sometimes it's exagerrated, like I heard one Brit  was arrested for bullying his Polish neighbour, inter alia he called him "immigrant". Of course, in fact we Polish people nowadays are not immigrants when we live in UK, because we are UE citizens living in UE teritory, so rather "inner migrants" maybe, but I don't think every Brit has to know the difference and beware of using such term and I'm not going to call police if somebody would call me immigrant.
