Is plastic surgery bad??

i think it is really bad a waste of money and un natural i think it is sick that some people actually want to do that to there body i mean who cares if you got small boobs and a saggy bum it doesn't matter there is loads of things out there now that can help you look better without plastic surgery e.g chiken fillets [for boobs] cusion pants [ make you look slimmer] and loads more but i can not be bothered to go on. but that is just my opinion!

Personally I would not get it done, but I do not judge those that do it. I know someone that had nose surgery done because she was constantly teased about the size and it made her very depressed. After the operation she is happier than she has ever been and her confidence has returned.

I think moderation is key.

You can't buy self-confidence.

I had plastic surgery when I was 15.  It was a non essential process, but the alternative was always wearing braces, and having a receded chin and narrow palate.  I will never regret it.  My self confidence increased a thousandfold when I no longer warranted nicknames like 'horse face' or 'beaver.' 

However, as with everything in life, there is a price to be paid.  I have no feeling in my chin and lower lip, and have a cleft chin from the split in the muscle when they rehinged my lower jaw (I kinda like it.)  The scarring inside of my mouth from the removal of my upper jaw and the addition of the cadaver palate is still sensative over a decade later and I can not indulge in things like orange juice and citrus soda.  Thankfully the scarring on the outside is minimal and only where the screws went in.

When considering plastic surgery, you must carefully weigh out the positives and negatives, and realize that nothing comes without a drastic price.  The lead up to my surgery was 6 minor surgeries and 10 years of braces... I had them put on when I was eight to stop my face from twisting.  You can't mess with nature and expect nothing to go wrong... I regularly need root canals on various teeth from the cut nerves dying in my mouth and occationally endure extrodinary pain from the wire mesh and four screws.  I think it is worth it, but some other people may not.

I have rambled on for far to long, but from personal experience, plastic surgery is not evil, but it is not the magical solution either.  Get multiple doctor's opinions and make sure you see a therapist prior to committing to something like this.  It can mess with your head to change your appearance, and believe me, it isn't pretty when you get out of the hospital.  If you have spoken to professionals and they believe it is in your best interest, go for it.  Just remember it is not a crutch.

It is bad. First u will like it because u feel u are pretty second u feel pain because of it effect after that u hate it and lastly u feel regret because u had waste ur time and money!

i do think that if you are really really hating the way you look then get something done but not too much so you look like youve just come out of the waxworks

Celebrities are a bunch of f*ckwits with TOO MUCH money to throw around. they see a tiny flaw and think "i can get that fixed"
THATS why celebrities get it.. plastic surgey is something you have to think long and hard about.. there are so many risks in getting something done... and the costs are outrageous

the most inexpensive thing you can do to boost self confidence? smile... love yourself.
stand infront of the mirror, naked, and look at all the favourite parts of your body. got great boobs? flaunt it. Got a hot butt? shake it! own a cute smile? use it!

Love yourself ladies! theres too much pressure on young girls these days to be perfect. When NO one is perfect..

what looks hotter? a girl going to bed without makeup looking fresh and cute? or a girl with fake 'cemented makeup' face and big gross balloon boobs.... :>

I do not think plastic surgery is bad at all. Many people do it for many different reasons. As you are aware, people can become addicted to it, like a drug, and abuse it. I myself will do it someday. My boobs are way too big, and I have never been comfortable with them. Should I not do it because someone else doesn't think it's right? I can't wait to have it done, and I am of age.
I have to live with my body for the rest of my life, it is something I take very seriously. You don't have to approve, but you should accept what other people decide for themself.

can i just say i agree that you should if your not happy with what you are like
some things like that you cant change naturally, but as long as it will help you in the wya youfeel about yourself then i think its ok.

i think plastic surgery in your case is fine and if it makes you feel better about yourself then go for it, good luck but i think for celebs who have it done, most of them only do it because they have the money which isnt a good enough reason. also you can get addicted and things can go badly wrong so think long and hard first.
