Long Distance Relationships

I miss my boyfriend. I'll be seeing him in July, and then September for GOOD!

Anyone else? How do you pass the time without thinking about him and missing him constantly?

What a twat.

Nah. I call him and write letters to myself about him, then throw them away so nobody ever sees. :x
And I look at his pictures, keep it posted by my computer or in my phone.

Re: Long Distance Relationships

My husband and I were long distance. smile We called eachother frequently. He'd come to visit me whenever he could every few months. Now we're married and have a beautiful baby girl together and he loves my son even though he isn't his. ^_^

Re: Long Distance Relationships

Haha, I do the letters to myself thing, Aristes, except I keep them. I always thought I was being silly, so I'm glad I'm not the only one who does it.

MysteriaKiito, that's lovely. I hope for that someday.

We've already talked on the phone twice today, and have two more calls planned for tonight. We go crazy on the weekends... free minutes!!

I wonder if I'm too obsessed though. I should probably go out more to take my mind off him sometimes.

Re: Long Distance Relationships

I met my wife Vipra (on this game) when she was 14 and I was fifteen. She came to Arizona to visit her cousin. We dated of and on for the 4 years long distance. we visited each other over school holidays. I moved up to Denver when I we were 19. I proposed to her that Thanksgiving and we got married that following June. We now have been married for the last 14 great years. we have a 6 year old girl and a 5 month old little boy.

All the time away from each other was so worth it. She is my best friend and I can not imagine life without her.

The times we were apart were Hard, but when we gt back to gather it was the best of times.
there is no real way I found to get over the loneliness except to look towards the time when we would be back together.

Hope this helps.

Re: Long Distance Relationships

Yeah, you're right, I do need a hobby. Unfortunately the only other thing I have to do is my homework, and that's not been going so well... lol.

I can tell you guys understand. I've not found anything yet to be less lonely either. Even when I'm out with other people, having fun, I always wish he could be there.

And that's what my boyfriend keeps telling me. Getting through the time apart will make our relationship stronger.  But it's just taking such a long time! haha  It's ok though. He is worth the wait, and I am counting down the days til he comes in July.

Re: Long Distance Relationships

I was a single mother while I was dating my husband long distance. I don't know what I would have done without him, but it would have been SO much easier if he had been with me there in person because I was going through a custody battle for my son. I would call him crying a lot because of my jerk off ex and his crazy new wife. I seriously don't think I could have handled it without him even if it was just over the phone.

Re: Long Distance Relationships

Yeah, I'm in a long distance relationship. My boyfriend lives up in the middle of nowhere, aka Arkansas. It's pretty bad up there. (Or at least from what he tells me.) But his dad has an apartment in the area where I live so it works out pretty well when he gets to come visit his dad.

*blush*  It'll be 3 years this September. :3

Re: Long Distance Relationships

I lived away from my boyfriend for a year and it was really hard for both of us to be apart. We talked on the phone daily and visited each other once a month, we'd alternate with me going to him one month and him coming to me the next. I spent too much money on airfare that year...

My cousin is now in a long distance relationship and he and his girlfriend do the same thing my boyfriend and I did when we were apart.
