Maybe, but I'll admit I found it funny. I do love the French and French culture, though. <3
Aren't demotivators and macros usually supposed to be offensive? Here I thought they are usually posted to provoke... Or just for the lulz, depending on the context. :3
Wth am I doing - discussing the purpose of macros in intertube-culture?! D:
http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c25/n … line04.jpgHahahaha, nice poster.
That's somewhat true about the offensiveness as you said, but as Vampie said, "I thought they are supposed to make fun of people who believe in motivatinal crap."
Also, the French is one thing. But making fun of retarded people is not cool (or funny).
I'm not too touchy about the subject, but I'm just pointing out - and I'm sure there are people who disagree - "retard" is a pretty archaic term and has contracted a very derogatory undertone. Medically used or not, I don't think it's necessarily the most PC expression there is. The meaning of words can change alot with time - You know, "idiot" used to refer to "a person with severe mental disability" too.

But I'm done with derailing this thread. :3 Prepare for demotivator - spam:

So it's not funny at all. How anybody could have made such thing?

Welcome to the internet.

Nice to use your freedom to make fun of people who fought for it and died.
Several years of reeducational work camp probably would make this witty person appriciate it more.

I'm sorry, but you do realize, that you're getting all butthurt over a stupid picture on the internet? A little group of pixels on your screen. There are far more offensive things to be found on the net - and in real life. The picture doesn't make anyone respect the sentiment and efforts of the anonymous demonstrator any less.
And to be honest, said demotivator is really, really tame compared to most the stuff that's floating around.

Don't be afraid, it didn't make me cry. And I know there are more offensive things in Internet.
What suprised me is that this particular poster is among rather intelligent stuff, so I'm curious is it just stupidity of author who didn't know what is this photo depicting or idoes he/she really thinks it's funny.

The word you are looking for is ignorance - the lack of knowledge or education. Stupidity refers to lack of intelligence. While similar, they're not synonymous. /pet-peevee. :3
Sorry to say, but blurting out things like "Several years of reeducational work camp probably would make this witty person appriciate it more." in the context of stupid macros is kind of unnecessary and cruel.
But I'm leaving sorting out the subject to you and whoever posted the pic. I don't want to be a drama-llama. Nighty-night.

Hmm, Internet is so huge source of information that anybody lacking education can learn.
You're right, ignorance is probably a better word - you know, English is not my first language and I just made a calque.
This words about reeducational camp were intended to be harsh
For many people freedom is like health - they don't appreciate it until they loose it. Freedom of speech is nice, so maybe using it to make fun of people fighting for is more cruel than my words.
It's hard to believe for me that someone educated enough to find and edit this photo didn't know what it depicts - or maybe I just experience cultural shock...
Sorry for contaminating humor thread with such serious comments, but I don't think it's inapropiate.
P.S. Nice picture of bunch of trees
I don't understand what drama-llama means
