Re: Has anyone noticed?

Listen, I think everyone here is quite aware of the fact that you and many other media lemmings find this site to be offensive.  But the fact is, we don't care.

JamieFashion, you can criticize until your face turns blue but this site is not specifically targeted towards anyone; if you actually took the time you would see it's quite obvious many older people enjoy playing.

And while younger people also like the game, this site is not their babysitters.  If parents don't like their kids playing this game then that is THEIR responsibility, not Miss Bimbos.

Re: Has anyone noticed?

I come to this site just for entertainment.  The whole "bimbo" thing is really no different than what Hollywood markets towards teens and young women anyways.  Who is wearing what, who weighs what, who is dating who...insane.  Why should this site be attacked for what tabloids, Entertainment shows, and magazines already promote????

Re: Has anyone noticed?

I think that any girl of any age can deal with the "offensive" material of this site, if she has discussed those things in real life.
When you were 10 or 12 you had insecurities but when you speak them out, you can actually build your self confidence and not fall into the plastic surgery frenzy when you get older.

It is a parent's job to ensure that their children can deal with the exposure to today's over sexualisation. If you talk to your 10 years old about respecting herself and loving herself she'll see this game for what it is, a simulator like many others, like neopets and so on.

It is true though that maybe it is a little bit to much for someone under 12, as puberty is a difficult time to face, especially with the fear of not being as perfect as we wish. But then it is a case per case thing.

At least right now we definitely know how effective bad publicity is!

I saw a link to this site and was curious. I must say, it's a bit degrading for women, especially since it is marketed to young girls. I mean the name itself, BIMBO, and you can get plastic surgery? When I originally clicked clinic I though there would be job training. I just wanted to put it out there. Just the details bother me.

What in the world would make you think a site named "Miss Bimbo" would be job training? And if you think it's that degrading, then why even bother registering for the site?
I find this entertaining and, honestly, a little relaxing after a hectic day at work. This bimbo is happy being a bimbo  wink

Re: Has anyone noticed?

I think the bad press this site has had was a godsend to the creators. I wonder how many people signed up as a result of the press it received? People who think the prospect of getting surgery in a game is offensive when our newspapers and media are riddled with ads and suggestions are idiots. Besides, if people can realise that killing people in games doesn't account to actual murder(except for american censors and evangelists) then I'm sure getting breast implants on a site that is clearly satirical (the name of the site says it all) isn't going to have kids running out to clinics and even if they did, the industry for cosmetic surgery is regulated anyway. If you don't like it, take the time to think for yourself and stop believing every word the media tells you. If at that point you still don't like it, there are millions of other websites you can waste your time with.

Re: Has anyone noticed?

do you let your children watch movies? watch tv? listen to the radio?  children are CONSTENTLY overwhelmed with things that are 'offensive' and if any of your children do what i've jsut mentioned, don't chick about this game.

sure 5-6 year olds wont watch movies made for adults but the ones that are old enough to use a computer watch movies full of half-naked girls, adult themes yadda yadda yadda.

Point is if its so offensive to you, DON'T DO IT!  YOU are an adult.  TAKE CONTROL!

Re: Has anyone noticed?

There's a lot of things that are offensive on the internet. I don't find this site offensive because I don't take it personally. It's more funny and entertaining. Everyone has their own opinions.
