I have read up to your post and I must say.. out of all the posts under this subject yours was the most helpful and least slandering. Lots of Kudos coming your way from me. Well done!
My opinion is I don't think it was discriminating in any way. I know I get frusterated living in an English speaking country to have people when with me or speaking to me, speaking other languages to people from their country( unless translating) , I always think... Can't you speak English in front of me as you are being rude. So I am afraid if I went to a French speaking site I would expect them to expect me to speak French. And I would do as Bubbles did... write in French and English and ask for assistance if I needed it by people who speak another language.
I play World Of Warcraft and do it all the time there. If I need someone who speaks another language I ask someone who speaks both English and the other language for assistance. You meet some amazing people this way!!
My best suggestion would be for you to use the translator on the French site, Apologise for any misunderstanding and try to start over using Bubbles advice. Good luck to you however you choose to handle it.
Oh one more thing... Guys lets not bash the Mods... they are doing their best and with as few of them and as many of us it is not ever going to be easy.

That's why there are rules posted.
But it does happen that one member doesn't know a rule, in that case she simply get a reply saying she can't do that. If she repeats the same mistake even after getting one or more warning then she can be banished for few days (such as asking for challenges on the forum because it is said everywhere it is forbidden)

look ladies this is getting out of hand...
there are alot of good points here but look at it this way
if an american went to france..would you expect the french to speak engish??? no
and vice versa for the french coming to america
if you go to the french site expect to type or speak french
if you come to this site expect to type english...
it is not discrimination it is consideration...

Interesting.
I dont think world peace is dependant on everyone else speaking english.
I understand you felt annoyed but really, it is quite obviously a FRENCH site.
It is for french speakers.
On my forum I would ask people to speak english if they wanted to talk, as the majority are english speakers.
If I wanted to talk on a french forum I would try and make sure I could talk in their language.
I think english speaking people can be quite arrogant about our language.
Alot of europeans have dual language skills but most english speaking people only speak english.
I dont think it was discrimination, they didnt ask you to go away or to stop playing.
Discrimination would have been more like asking you to go back to your english forum as we dont like english speakers!!!!!

then this site "discriminates" just the same.
rules are rules. thats why you are asked to read them before beginning to play......So you are saying you are happy to discriminate against people of a different race or nationality? Exactly the rules should be changed and I’m on not agreeing with this site rules either. It is discrimination and if someone comes alone, and god knows someone will, they will take this a lot further.
Goddness people les not get into a kerfuffle about it. i dont want to argue. Just thought it was slightly out of place to tell someone not to type in their own language.
Well, considering the whole site is in French, it's not out of place.

Ella -
I understand how you feel. You went into an unwelcoming territory, and were treated in such a way -- unwelcomingly. But there are a variety of components that factor into this. It's not time to shout "DISCRIMINATION!" "DISCRIMINATION!" "DISCRIMINATION!" , because I truly don't believe it was discrimination, as do others here.
Consider this - you are communicating with people who speak a different native language from yours. It is quite possible that you simply just don't understand each other well. For example, in my high school German class, I meant to say "Pass it, please" to the person receiving exams beside me. What I actually said translated into "Large Eskimo" which was definitely not my intention (at least I don't think so anyway) and you could be in a large Eskimo situation yourself. Perhaps the language barrier is what was making communication difficult. They couldn't quite understand you, you couldn't quite understand them, and maybe some things were phrased improperly.
There is a good chance that since they don't know the language well, they don't realize how they came across, or perhaps they misinterpreted you. It is also somewhat customary when crossing a language boundary, to have a general idea of the language spoken in the area you are going to. I brushed up on my French before I went over to Ma Bimbo, and no one was rude over there. If there were misunderstandings, I simply told people I was only learning and they were accepting of it, the same way Miss Bimbo girls treat those who are learning English over here.
Your case is simply a case of messy miscommunication. You were not victimized, and I do not feel sympathy for you. You were just in a case where people weren't communicating collaboratively in a successful way because neither party had the proper tools.
That being said, stop being dramatic, please. Oh my god.

Bah, here there's discrimination too. Here we can't speak spanish. You are so lucky, you have a english site of Miss Bimbo. The latin people have to speak english and it's so difficult. Don't feel bad, girl, by internet the people use to be very valiant and mean.
You are so lucky, very very lucky, only are discriminated by internet. I'm am discriminated everywhere because i'm Colombian Girl, is the same situation for other latins girls and we don't be crying.

Thats way out of line and rude! Are you from France? Have you ever been to France? My guess would be probably not! You are probably judging by what you hear on TV. Just as America is also judged so harshly by what other countries hear on TV. You can not judge a country by its politics.

I had a similar experience with ma bimbo. I tried to start an english chat forum, an got shut down the next day. I don't see anything wrong with and english forum chat thread. Isn't english the international language? Well I just keep my mouth shut, and stay off the rude, french forum, and no longer spend my real money there. It's really is their loss.......

The rule is simple.. You speak the language that it says on the forum rules. In the french site it says French only, so that simply means french only. Here it is Englihs only so it means only english and not any other language no matter how much people complain.
As you said: English is an international language, but Ma bimbo is a french site made for the french people and was like that for a long time.
Nowadays they have english only here due to the fact that it is easier for the Mods and Admins to monitor what people are saying. If you want to have chats in your own language on this site, then you use the PM's and send each other private messages.. Easy, simple and every one gets happy.

Again I must say, what is so wrong with an english forum thread? Isn't the world wide web, ment to be world wide? Sure I understand the French idea, but as I recall in history, America didn't say during WW2 that we wouldn't help the french, because they didn't speak english.
The French Admins. should be ashamed of their discrimination. Hey why don't you just invite more Muslims in, to burn more automobiles in your city, because they think the French aren't giving them enough, because, they are there. I suppose the world hasn't grown up enough to stop the clickish behavior of 'I'm better than you, because I speak french.'
It is also a very bad money making policy.

Well.. If there is an english thread on the french site, then it will take longer time for the french admin and mod to try and translate everything they read in there so that they can monitor that no cheating is going on. That means they have to spend even more time to try and translate what is said etc.
That is both time wasting and boring when they can do other, more important things instead. It doesn't have anything to do with discrimination. THink on the hard work instead they are putting behind it. Then the englihs will demand english threads, the spanish will demand spanish ones, the swedish swedish ones etc... It is more simple to keep to one language at a forum that is for a game.
Then it is easier for the members there to use translators if they need something to be asked. It might not be perfect grammer, but they will understand you and you will get a reply that way without being yelled at or told of.

Geo politics at it's worst. Ok Ok I got the point, weeks ago. I'll just play my 'Bimbo', and leave the sillyness to the click that rules. I found it funny that after ten years since highschool, most of the popular cheerleaders, are all fat and divorced, and on welfair. At least they had a good run of luck for a few years, and their attitude placed them right where they should be. OK MaBimbo is doing well. and I site owners are dong OK to, today. However with this sort of attitude, they will never be a site like Google.com
Zenophobic at the max.
Yeah, even my(real) visit to France went just as bad as a mear visit, to a French Ma Bimbo
Being an American isn't what it once ment.
Have no fear, I'll keep my money to myself from now on..... For both sites. They will have to do something to earn me back into the paying fold. I also am a member of the media, and write often of such things. "the pen is mighter than the sword" Admins got the sword, I got the money, and a voice. I find it funny that I support this website, just not the silly ego of the admins. I'm not to sure of what side to jump to. All I can say so far is, "Great idea, bad policy."
I have also been in the admin's shoes, with a world wide gaming site, with a forum. English is the common world wide voice of commerce. I found with my website, the everyone seemed to sort themselves out, to where they were comfotable. To say something is not allowed is just limiting your site to cave man days, of clubs, and being draged to a cave. Ma Bimbo is just shutting out so many, that could colour the 'Bimbo' world, and make it so interesting, with ideas. Please look behond your own backyard of influence, and think about the 3 billion+ women in the world.

But why would they have to adapt to the english members when it was first of all meant for the french people???
You know how much hard work it takes to monitor a forum. Think on that they have over 1 million members and all those threads and posts on their forum. Then on top of that.. each and every member spoke their own language.. Think on the work. It is tedious to try and go through each post and thread as it is.. Then have to use the webtranslator etc for each and every language on the hunt for swear words in all those languages.. Good luck.
