89 pounds? I get scared for my health when I drop below 100! I don't think I could function at 89 O.o

Re: How Skinny/Light Is Too Much??

I think it's your BMI that tells you your proper weight (give or take a few numbers based on outside factors like body type and muscularity).

My BMI is 19
My weight is 125 and height is 5'8

You can track yours here: http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/

Re: How Skinny/Light Is Too Much??

Hmmm.
I'm 5 foot 8.
Last year I was 11 stone 3 pound but I lost weight for charity and now I'm 10 stone 3.

My BMI has always been alrightish.
But I don't think its reasonable.

I'm at the gym 6 out of 7 nights so I've got a bit of muscle on my weight.

I think as long as you are healthy and able to motivate yourself without breathing difficulties or other weight-associated problems you're a good weight.

I have mates with eating disorders - and they look on the verge of tears if someone tells them they are too thin.

Re: How Skinny/Light Is Too Much??

You can't just look at height and weight, though. You need to take BMI into account. I have a friend that's...I'm not sure how tall, and she's like 160/170, but it's muscle. She isn't fat or obese at all, nor does she look very muscular. Muscle weighs more than fat.

Re: How Skinny/Light Is Too Much??

I think that the media is very unkind to slim/skinny women. All those trashy celebrity magazines accusing famous ladies of being anorexic. Some women are just naturally slim. Some ladies that I work with have confirmed this point: these slim, vibrant, healthy looking girls have been accused of being sick or anorexic just because they aren't big.

If someone is very underweight or anorexic they look VERY ill.

Why would the world be a better place if all men encouraged women to be overweight? To be overweight is not healthy and it is destructive to encourage someone to be overweight.

Re: How Skinny/Light Is Too Much??

Hmm, in real life I'm almost 5'10 and like to think I weigh about 60kg (as I've just noticed everyone else is writing in pounds, its about 135 pounds) which is what I when I was weighed for my skis.  We have electronic scales at home but they've been playing up recently so I don't trust them (in the space of two days I apparently went from 7 stone to 13 which I assure you, did NOT happen, mainly because I haven't been 7 stone in the last 5 years)

Hey, that's perfectly fine - I think I'm overweight but if you do sport muscle weighs more than fat which would be one reason for thinking your overweight and looking fantastic.  Also you can just naturally be heavy and slim at the same time.  Don't worry about it though - size 8 is a great size for your height (I'm size 8 tops and dresses and size 10 jeans but I'm slightly taller)

Re: How Skinny/Light Is Too Much??

I'm 5'8" and weigh 125 pounds. I'd like to get down to 115-120lbs though.

but anyway, about the Bimbos. LOL my friend had an obese bimbo. She made the Bimbo weigh nearly 180 pounds and she looked quite big. It was funny but cute at the same time too.

Re: How Skinny/Light Is Too Much??

The BMI scale is bullshit.  It doesn't consider body frame, age, etc.
It is all about eating food that makes you feel good, enjoying it, and being active.
