Obama is idealism, Hillary is realism. =/ Obviously, she does have experience, because someone was running the country while Bill was seducing interns. I like that Obama wants comprehensive sex education, though. Hillary supports abstinence-plus. McCain, of course, abstinence-only, same as our current President (who is putting $204 millin this year into the programs).

Hillary (don't send me nasty messages)...as a woman she just can't keep her "feelings" under control and crying on tv proved we are not ready for a female president.....what is she gonna do.....get what she wants by shedding tears? No way, that's a huge sign of weakness I don't want in my next president.
I'm going to respectfully disagree with you about Hillary's emotionalness being because she's a woman. It's part of her personality, yes, and it's more culturally acceptable for her to express that part of her personality because she's a woman, but I don't think being a woman caused it.
Don't forget our current President has a history of tears. And he doesn't have hormones, PMS, or any other excuse for them.

What a dangerous topic. Especially during an election year.
Honestly, I can't put my support behind anyone. I'll be gladly welcoming a change of pace, but I don't like any of the candidates. Obama's got some good ideals. But I'm worried that that's all they are. Hillary knows politics, but she plays the game too much. And I'm disappointed in McCain's complete change in policy on torture just to gain party support.
I actually agree with your views and you phrased them better then I could.
I'm not sure who I'll vote for and I wish the democrats would get themselves together to give the voters more of a look at their candidate. *shrugs*

I like Hillary because of her experience and her concrete plans including national health care. It's crazy that there are so many people in the richest country in the world with no health insurance. I'll get off my soap box and back to the point.
Obama is an amazing speaker, but there's not much substance there. I want to know how he's going to change things, not just what.
I think having them as prez and vice prez would be awesome, but sadly I'm afraid that this country isn't ready for a women or black prez. Whoever gets the nomination will probably pick the status quo old religious white guy as a running mate to have a better chance at capturing the far right and the south. I hope I'm wrong:(

I think when it comes to politics, and especially a presidential election, you kinda have to rule out the lesser of the two (or in this case three) evils. I'm a republican, and I will gladly vote for McCain because I feel that the two democratic candidates are idiots. This is my opinion. I don't think that those who call themselves feminists should vote Hilary because they feel it's "their duty", I am not attacking the person who said it but I think all the issues and stances should be looked at before deciding who their candidate will be. However, I am so glad to see so many younger people on the board voicing their opinions and hopefully voting in November.
One last thing: Like I said, I will be voting for McCain but it makes me sad that he went on Ellen the other day and basically flat out told her that he didn't support her lifestyle (because she's gay) But gay marriage is a whole other topic!

I wasn't even planning on voting until my mom told me about all of the hype surrounding Obama. I started looking around the web for information about him, and low and behold I became a supporter. I like that he hasn't done the typical political career and has spent a lot of time in the community. I like his reasoning and how he approaches topics, more out of "hey our country is struggling and we need to fix it" rather than, "this is totally gonna get me voted in."
Hillary kind of botched it for me when I found out she couldn't even budget her campain. How is she going to budget a country?? Not to mention her silly personal attacks. Sorry chica, that card has already been played.
I would be happy with a president that ran things without us even noticing. It's pretty rock bottom when you're not even political and your presidents actions affect your daily living....
Babble, Babble...GO OBAMAM!

Im all for Obama, even though I'm not looking forward to the tax increases
Don't like Clinton! We've had 20 yrs of the two same families running this country and it's time for something new & McCain is just more of Bush policies. That being said, if Clinton gets the nom I will vote for McCain.

This kind of thinking is whats going to help lose the election for us democrats. Only the other way around since Clinton won't get the nomination. Obama said it today at the Florida rally, any differences the two of them have pales in comparison to the differences between Obama and McCain. Everyone says it but it's absolutely true- McCain would be Bush's third term. I'd vote for almost anything over that.

I am from Cleveland Oh and voted for Obama. I originally was on board with Clinton but I did some research & Obama won me over. Even if some crazy way Hill gets the Dem nomination I will still vote for her because there is no way I could ever vote for McCain. His views on the Iraq war are rediculous. He said he would stay in Iraq another 100 years if necessay NO WAY!! Plus he said he is going back to Afghanastan to search for Bin Laden & will start a war their if need be; just what we need another president who is war hungry. Obama has vision and genuinely wants change. He may not be able to deliver everything he has promised because it will take longer then he will be in office even if he gets elected both time and gets a full 8 years but he is the step in the right direction.

And just for the record the people who are Obama supporters or Clinton supporters say that if their candidate doesnt get the nomination they are going to vote McCain. They are just plain silly or crazy. Obama & Clinton have basically the same ideas & want the same things; they just different paths on how to get there. I watched the debates between them & it was crazy because they were basically arguing over the same beliefs. You are letting your feelings get in the way of being rational. Obama & Clinton are on the same side how can you honestly say if Obama (or Clinton) doesnt get the nom then I am voting McCain. He is totally on the opposite side of both of the Dems and what you really stand for. And if that is how you feel then your pride is ruling your vote not your true beliefs.

OBAMA OH ATE
As a feminist, I want so, so badly to like Clinton, but I really just don't agree with her. Not only do I disagree with her politics in a few cases, her campaign has resorted to personal attacks far too often, and I find that tasteless in any candidate.

If you're really a feminist then you're an indepent thinker and a strong woman, so you should do what you are doing and go with who you agree with more. Going with Hillary just because you're a woman says you don't listen to the real issues and that would make you less of a true feminist.
Anyway, saying that... Ron Paul is truly the only candidate I trust. Just look what happens when he goes on debates. They don't even ask him serious questions like they do everyone else. They are too afraid that if they do, we will hear that he is the only candidate that is supporting our freedom and not just wanting government to control us.
It doesn't matter if we get Obama, Clinton, or McCain...they are the same three headed beast

Did anyone hear what she said today about assasinatioin!!!! I liked her in the beginning but every since all the lies she has been telling: Sniper fire etc. She will do anything to win even though there is no chance in hell that she will. She was out taking shots of whiskey that was not nessesary. I am a woman but I really am tired of this I AM WOMAN HEAR ME ROAR crap! This feminist thing just doesn't move me in anyway.

That's exactly why I'm backing Obama. I really would like to see a woman in the white house, but Clinton isn't that woman.

I am a Obama girl but i watch the news alot and Hillary is a very manipulative woman and she lies.
Example of her being manipulative, when she "cried" at that press conference or whatever it was. I did not see a tear come out of her eyes. She was trying to get woman to go for her. Then here's one specific lie i remember. She had gone to some country back when bill was in office and they had laded in the middle of crossfire or something like that. Later there were videos found of the exact visit and she was hugging children and what not. No gun shots. Last week or the week before she said something about "white middle class voters" are voting for her. Where does that leave everyone else?
Also what she said today To a reporter was just shocking when Hillary asked if she was going to drop out. She said she's in it till june, great things happen in june. Then she refers that a great thing happening was JFK's assassination.
Here's a reference about it in a article.
Washingtonpost.com wrote:
Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton invoked the memory of slain Democratic candidate Robert F. Kennedy as she explained her persistence in the Democratic race on Friday, saying that although the media and the Barack Obama campaign have been trying to usher her from the race, "historically, that makes no sense."
"We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California," Clinton said in a meeting with the editorial board of the Argus Leader, a newspaper in South Dakota.
Here is the full article
http://blog.washingtonpost.com/the-trai … =informbox
What she said in my opinion just did her in. She wont be lasting till June this is honestly offending to the whole nation. She is basically hoping that /something/ will happen that will suddenly make her the democratic nominee. It's not going to happen.
Oh and about obama. I like his views i have read about the issues and how he stands for them on his website and watched the debates. there's ot one bad thing i can say about him. I honestly think he is for change and will steer this country into a better direction even though he has some inexperience, Hilary Clinton has experience but he is winning over her. That says something.
