im nearly 21, but I appreciate the advice, I often forget to follow these rules myself, without realizing that no matter how old you are, you never know who anyone really is on the internet.

Right I'll give the guide lines of what I used to do if I would ever meet anybody off the internet. But understand I'm not encouraging it.
1) Make sure your parents/guardians know what's happening.
2) Make sur if you meet the person that it's in a public place.
3) Make sure it's somebody you've known a while and not just somebody you've known say 1 week and decide to meet.
if there are anymore I'm sure the other mods will add to this.
Im not a Mod but I am a Mom....and I would also add...that if you are a minor, ie under the age of 18.... It would be prudent to have a parent call the parent of the person you plan on meeting...and escorting you to at least the first meeting. It doesn't have to cramp your style to have Mom or Dad there....they can sit at another table (or whatever) allowing you to have your space. I just think that we all (adults and minors alike) have a tendency to get TOOOO comfortable and forget that the world isn't the safest place. Most likely...if you have been talking to someone online for a few months or so...they are going to be the person you think they are...as it is hard to maintain a persona for any real length of time....but please realize that "hard" does NOT mean IMPOSSIBLE....so it is still very important to put safety first. My 2 cents...

And like I said I do not encourage it and for your information I'm a mother as well and will make sure that when my child gets to the age when he wants to start meeting people he is fully aware of the dangers no not everybody is friendly on the internet which we should all be aware of but most importantly for the younger members. So please keep your private information safe and make sure if you are freaked out by somebody report them do not take an risks with your safety.

This thread has nothing to do with clothing at Nine's. I would carefully read before posting.
