Security and Cheating

Just to make sure everyone knows, the cheaters thread will always be "closed" but that's just because only mods can post in it.

It's kind of tiresome to keep catching people.  In some cases we still give people a chance even if we catch them, depending on the situation.  That's why you aren't seeing more in the thread listing accounts.  But this is just temporary.  Once word is clearly spread about multiaccounts being cheating, and the fact that people sharing a computer need to make us aware so we don't mistake them, we won't be quite so forgiving. 

Come forward if you have more than one account and you just may be able to keep your main account!

Let a mod know if multiple players share a computer so that we don't confuse you for a cheater.

450?! And why would anyone cheating post on this thread to condemn it? Do they think the mods are stupid?! Thank you so much to the mods for both catching the real culprits, and looking out for people like jem-stone who've made innocent mistakes.

Would people on college networks/workplace networks show up as having the same IP address too? They often did on the forum I used to mod at, so I'm guessing you're taking that into account too.

As Priss pointed out, you don't even have to look after bimbos in multiple accounts... just send them on holiday and create another one! Sad that the challenges bit, which is half the fun of the game to me, has been the victim of such dishonesty.

We understand if there is family joining and even using the same computer there IP will come up the same it's when none of the mod's know. All we ask is if anybody has family/friends sharing the same computer please contact one of us that way we can let each other know.
