Hey Jamia Fans! I am so excited to have a new update for you guys! Today, we have an old video interview and performance of Jamia on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno from Christmas 2002! Jamia was so little and cute in the clip! She talked about what she asked Santa for that year, among other things. She performed Silent Night and she sounded great (as always). It was funny watching the band try and keep up with her though. You can see the interview HERE and performance HERE. Both can be found on the video page as well. Enjoy the videos guys! Video captures can be found in the gallery.

Some of my favorite Jamia quotes
• “The most important thing is being yourself, not like everybody else.” - (Age 6)
• “It was good to come out and just give the Lord the praise, and it’s good to have a great performance” - (Age 7)
• “I do what I do to bring them joy” - (Age 8)
• “Keep doing what you do for me and I'm going to keep doing what I do for you.” - (Age 8)
• “I feel smart, but I feel confident in myself” - (Age 9)
• “The greatest part is just me praising the Lord and just having fun with him.” - (Age 9)

You have a good day too!
That 3 hr. difference messes me up sometimes too. My husband lives in Washington (state). So he wants to talk when I'm going to bed.
Where are you in AZ? My parents used to live in Tucson. I was actually conceived there. (I know, to much info)

We lived together over the summer. I last saw him August 30th. I'll see him again Dec. 19th. And I'll see him for a couple weeks in March, then he goes to Iraq.
Probably the hardest part (besides the everyday missing him), is that he had to leave the morning after our wedding for 2 months of training with the Army and, January 6th will be our 1 year anniversary. But, classes start back on the 7th so the flight I have to come back home leave Seattle at 6:05am on the 6th.
We've been getting by by talking on the phone everyday and we both have webcams. Unfortunately, he's in California this month for predeployment training. So we won't be able to talk as much.
We're just trying to look at the big picture. Yeah, we're apart now, but when it's all said and done, I'll be a dentist and he'll have been in for a while and we'll have a pretty good life built. Neither of us want the other to put their lives on hold. So we cheer it other on and it's working ok so far.

Such a sweet story. And, you're right, you have your whole life with each other. This is only temporary. Hopefully will be out of this mess before March so he won't have to be gone long!
*crosses fingers*

Right now, I believe they're scheduled for a 15 month deployment, but I have my fingers crossed that it changes to 12.
My thoughts are with your son. We have a friend who is also 24 who has been over a couple times. I can't wait til this is over.
