I am looking for a legit way to stay home with my kids and still bring in extra money. The only thing I can find on line is sites that make you pay to start up. I did find one that sounds good but I just started it today.

If anyone can tell me if this site is real or if they know of another site that isn't just trying to scam me out of money please let me know.
Thanks.

I have no idea whether that site is legit or not. But usually if it seems too good to be true... then it probably is.

Learn this from my own experience... Any site that asks you for membership money before they let you work at home, is scam... I've lost lots of money to a site that offers translators jobs last year...
How about baking cookies at home and sell them...? Or recycle items like newspapers, aluminium cans and glasses...? Or turn your lawn/garage into a mini dobby service where when you help anyone wash their clothes they will pay you...? My neighbour does this and you'll be surprised at how many people being too busy to wash their laundries...

Become a Nancy Botwin and add some herbs to your baked goods... that'll generate a nice little cashflow. The other housewives in the hood will be breaking your door down for some.

Thanks for the ideas gals
I do love brownies, but I don't think herb brownies are the best choice for a home business lol..

Can you do any sort of craft that you could sell on etsy.com? Try looking on the website to get ideas on the types of things people sell. You could even go on pinterest to get how-tos and ideas.

You can try writing. My mom made about $100 a week writing articles for a website. It's very time consuming but if you're already at home all the time it's very easy.
(I asked my mom and she doesn't remember what the website was called, I'm sorry. I'll post if she remembers)

While reading this post, I suddenly thought of trying your hands at crafts, keychains, photo frames, mini baskets/pencil holders and perhaps sell it on Ebay...
It doesn't have to be brownies, look up for cinnamon cookies, or crunchy ginger biscuits recipes... They're considered herbs too...

I would be VERY wary of taking a job at a place that a) is online-based or b) asks for money at start-up. Do your research and see if there are reviews of its legitimacy.
I agree- if you are crafty, something like etsy offers you a great way to do something you enjoy, spend time during the day, and make some money! It may not be a ton though. If you are in a warm area with a farmer's market, you might consider either gardening or selling baked goods (you may need a permit for that, not sure).
You could always take a couple courses at the community college in child-rearing/first Aid, and work as a qualified babysitter for those busy parents with young children.
Lastly-- are you near a university or large school district? You may be able to find work as a) a paper/resume editor or b) a language tutor for students and young adults who are English language learners, or students with writing difficulties.

Check out my cookbook!!Offline
My friend does spray tans and nails for a bit of extra cash. I think she does get an alright amount of money for it. Not sure it's enough to live on but it's a bit extra every week.

What about selling Avon/Mark Kate products?

I am not sure how much you can make by doing data entry kind of jobs, but it cannot be a lot. I would recommend you consider careers like administrative assistance, medical coding & billing, medical transcription, content writing, customer support, etc. that can be pursued from a home office. Career Step offers vocational courses in some of these fields. It may be better to get trained in a legit professiona that allows the flexibility to work from home than fall prey to an online job hoax.
