Friend woes :(

about like a month ago i used to hang mostly with 3 other girls from my grade but recently there has been a constant clash between us... after trying to patch up with them many times i finally realized that they don't really care about me and were kind of just using me. so i have started to not hang with them and stay away with them as much as possible and i got to admit my life has been a lot more sane since i stopped hanging with them. But i still can't believe that all that was fake. we shared so much and had such a strong bond before. this rift kind of started during the winter vacation when we all were away from each other. i don't know that whether i should try and make things as they were before...... again.... because i have gone to them twice before and asked if we can all move forward and forget the past but they say yes then and continue ignoring. i have kind of given up hope and right now i am quite enjoying my life with my other friends too.... sniff snif

various things. every time i threw about an idea as to where to hang or about a party or get-together they completely ignored them. during tests if i got good marks they ignored me because before the test i told them i did not study well enough for them or if i talked to a guy, any guy, they came and took him away in a non obvious way but they even started doing this with the guys they don't talk to and more things like this.

Don't hang out with them anymore. I know it may be hard, but this is the best for you I guess. You said you have to move on and forget the past. Yes you should and this includes 'getting rid' of them wink
You said you have other friends? So you don't really need these girls if they were using you.

Yeah i m trying to do that but its so hard because all three are in my class and i am in the same room as them 5 days a week for 6 hours and we were like super close sharing evrything! But yes i will definitely take your advice miomuno and stay away from them as much as i can! Thanks a lot :-)

Sounds like they were just using you and taking guys from you? That is just ridiculous and pathetic. In life you will find out who your true friends are and these girls definitely are not the kind you want to be around... hmm I'm sorry that they did stuff to you like that, they sound like bullies and I don't mean to offend you by calling them names, but that is how they sound to me in my opinion. You are way more mature than them it seems and you are making the right choice to not hang around them anymore. I hope all goes well for you!

I've been through something similar. I'm not going to explain the whole story since it is a long one.

If you're "friends" are ignoring you and doing that type of stuff, then they weren't your REAL friends to begin with.

It might hurt you a lot to learn that they weren't your real friends, but you have to learn to keep going. They dropped you. You're wanting to be friends with again.

You can't live in the past. Just accept what they did, even though it might be emotionally agonizing, and just move on.

I know I sound harsh right now but I've been in the same position before. The advice that I just gave you is the same advice I followed. Yeah I miss my old "bestfriends" at times and it's not wrong to miss them. The other night I started randomly crying over it. The truth hurts, especially when reality sets in.

I hope you follow my advice even though it sounds harsh. As I mentioned before, the truth hurts. Make other friends like I did and just bury the past behind you and keep moving forward. smile

Oh gurl. Such is life. Seriously, you will probably encounter many more situations like this throughout your lifetime. Various people will come and go and you'll soon see who are really your true friends. From the sounds of it, they haven't been very nice to you and haven't treated you like a friend should. I've had very similar situations happen to me. Honestly, all you can do is carry on life as normal, be civil to them if you ever encounter them and keep your head up high. Don't resort to their level and be rude and bitchy. You sound like a nice girl so just keep doing what you're doing. You know yourself your life is much better off without people like that smile

yeah i try to be well nice to them i mean i just greet them and talk very formally to them but sometimes i just can't help being rude and sarcastic. yesterday i cried for hours thinking about the times we spent together but today when i got up i thought back to the same moments and just smiled and there was a tinge of sadness, there still is, but i think i am way better than before. i mean before i couldn't even talk to them because i felt so distraught but now i can talk to them formally and not feel anything.

i am definitely trying to move on and make new friends Kittencrystal and i hope even i can get success like you did! and thanks Lacy i m definitely trying to be civil with them... it makes being in class easier too tongue

I understand! Last year when I had that 6 months worth of drama going on from my "bestfriends", my averages in my classes had went down. I would always have the same questions on my mind over and over again: "When will this end? What are they going to do next? How do I fix this? Should I apologize to them?"

This year without all the drama and those questions that were clouding my brain up, I can focus better and my averages in my classes have improved so much. Oh and don't forget, it's never wrong to cry about something smile

thanks a lot!! i really hope this all ends soon. but now they are starting to act all weird!!! all of a sudden after a month and half of abandonment they noticed that i was ignoring them and they started asking all my new friends what was wrong with me and telling them that i am acting weird and that i have changed and now they are trying to be more social with me and are treating me better. so now i am confused as to go back to them or just stay away. though my gut instincts say to move on.

The best thing for you to do is move on.

Since they noticed that you were ignoring them and that you made new friends, then they might be jealous and trying to get you to hang around them again. If you fall into their trap, then it might become a repeated cycle where they treat you horrible again

you know what i think you are totally right! i could feel some weird in their all of a sudden sweet behaviour. and i am very happy with my new friends. they hardly do any drama and a lot less bitching too. i am completely gonna ditch hem and be perfectly happy with my new friends smile thanks a lot big_smile
