What are your favorite SK movies or books? Least favorite?
Now, I haven't read much of his works, but I read Carrie so much in high school my copy literally was almost ruined because that's all I would ever carry around and read.
I've read Gerald's Game, but it wasn't that great. Mind, I went months inbetween reading it. So totally not a good idea. ._.
Favorite movies are easily a tie between Pet Semetary and Secret Window.
What are yours?

Needful Things, Bag of Bones, Pet Sematary, The Shining, Dreamcatcher, and Four Seasons (contained four novellas; The Body, Rita Hayworth & The Shawshank Redemption, Apt Pupil, and The Breathing Method) are some of my favs but there are tons more.
My favourite Stephen King flick is a toss up between Stand By Me and The Shawshank Redemption. My fav horror one of his is Pet Sematary.

Books... Desperation, Cujo, Different Seasons, Pet Semetary, From A Buick 8, Carrie... loads there.
Movies... Shawshank Redemption stands out... but also liked Pet Semetary, Misery, Green Mile, IT, The Mist and Dreamcatcher. Some of them really stink though.
I know a film of Desperation exists but because it has Ron Perlman as the main baddie - which is perhaps the worst piece of casting I've ever heard of - I haven't bothered acquiring it, so as not to spoil the book's memory.

Carrie, Pet Cemetary, Cell, IT, The Shining
Lol haven't read much of his work either, just i guess the popular ones that were made into movies. I think a movie was released that was very similar to Cell. Can't remember the name but Mark Wahlberg was in it
ETA: The Happening

I used to love King, but haven't read any of the new stuff, yet. I think Needful Things might have been the last one I read.
I've certainly seen plenty of films. Shawshank Redemption, of course, Cujo, Christine, The Shining, Misery, Delores Claiborne, Thinner, The Green Mile, Carrie, The Mist, Firestarter, Pet Cemetery, Sleepwalkers...and on and on and on. There are some great films there, and some not so great ones, but I loves me some King films.

I really love the books written by King. Pet Cemetary is an amaing book!
Although I have a very vivd imagination so sometimes I couldn't sleep after reading them (I was like 13-14...) and am too coward to watch the movies made from his books...

lol
You could try watching them on a bight sunny day?
I remember an episode of Friends, where they hid the Cujo book in the freezer whenever it got too scary.

LOL I thought the Langoliers film was AWFUL! Truly one of the worst SK adaptations.
I love Desperation, both the book and the movie. The Shining, Cujo, Carrie, the Tommyknockers, Pet Sematary, Misery. Pretty much all of them.
My all time favourites are The Stand (I could read this non-stop for the rest of my life and be happy) and the Dark Tower series.
What did we all think of Under The Dome? I was kinda divided after reading it. I think it could have been so much better.

Ron Perlman is AWESOME in it. Every time he says TAK! TAK AH LAH! I crack up. Also it has the little boy from the Stacey's Mom music video
I think you should watch it. It's cheesy, but when isn't a SK adaptation cheesy?

Well I really like his book. Favorite I think for me is Salem's lot, that book make an impact on me. But off course all off his book's are amazing.

I love Stephen King, I've recently read 'Full Dark, No Stars', a collection of short stories.
Each story was better than the last.

I've read Misery, The Shining, Dreamcatcher, The Green Mile, The Dome, Carrie, Salem's Lot, and I've just started reading 11/22/63. I love how his books are so hard to put down but sometimes I have to keep reading until I come to a not-so-scary bit

The Green Mile is my fave film and book. Infact it's the only book to film adaptation I like regardless of the author.
I also love The Shining and Carrie.
I have started to read Under The Dome about 3 times since buying it and just can't get into it at all which is most unlike me.
Christine - Fantastic book, awful film!

I found Under the Dome hard to get into too, but about halfway through it got really good and I raced through it.

I heard the Mist wasn't worth it. What's the consensus here?

The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon.
I've been told the children of the corn was originally by him as well and it's a pretty epic film :3

Oh god, I think my mom read The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon more than I read Carrie.

For books, I've only read Pet Sematary, Cujo, and some short stories like 1408 and Children of the Corn
For Movies, I think I've seen almost every one - and I love them all. My favorites are: IT, The Mist, Misery, Dreamcatcher, The Shining, and so many more
KittySaysMeow34 - I liked 'The Mist'. It has a ending that makes you want to scream and cry or just say WTF!!! However I like that it made me so emotional - I don't usually get effected by movies like that. The acting was so-so, but the religious lady was hilarious! I would say it is definitely worth watching at least once. I found it very entertaining!

I've only ever read The Shining, IT, and Carrie. I did NOT like Carrie but I liked the other two a lot. I think I like IT the best despite the kids having sex in the sewer. That was just wrong.
As far as movies go, The Shining is probably my favorite. Misery is pretty good too as well as The Green Mile. I haven't seen The Shawshank Redemption in so long that I don't know if I remember it very well. IT is absolutely terrible in movie form and the Langoliers approaches So Bad It's Good territory.
I've seen others but I don't have much of an opinion on them.

I remember coming home from school sick one day, lying on the sofa with a blanket and a sick bowl, and finding the Langoliers was on the Horror Channel. It cheered me up no end, I tell ya. Serious lol-worthy stuff.
I bawl my eyes out at the end of Shawshank Redemption, every time. That final shot by the ocean and I'm like WAAAAAAAAAAAH
