Out of the way...Places you want to see

I noticed ThatCgirl mentioned she is from Romania.
When I was taking my collage years 'mental breakdown' sabbatical. It was still part of the Soviet block. I couldn't go there. I have to say I would love to visit some of the former Soviet nations. I would like to see how the people are doing now.

That C girl, seems to be happy now. I also recently had an occasion at church to here from some recently returned missionaries that served in Russia. Amazing stories, just about life. Being American it is easy to take our lives for granted.
Thank You, China for making it possible.
China is another place I would love to experience the culture.

When you say Romania, I have a mental image, mostly from fictional books. My choice of books of course, and my reading is tending to be a bit... Gypsies and Transylvania

It comes from my parents history. World war two was not a good place to be a child, caught in the middle of a war.

Poland is where my father came from, but is was also Germany at one time too.
Stupid politics.

I really would like to explore the rest of Europe.

Romania was never part of the Soviet Union. The north was invaded, but it was never taken over.

And Romanian gypsies exist. That's not really fiction at all. Even today there are a lot of gypsies from Romania.

Anyway...I want to visit the US, Mainly California and NYC. I wouldn't mind going to Alaska either. I'd also love to visit all of eastern Europe, which I have not seen yet. China is also on my list. Particularly the Forbidden City and the Great Wall.

I want to see the pyramids. Cheesy, I know, but I'd still like to see them. We'd also like to do a tour around Europe sometime.

I would like to visit Russia and particularly Saint Petersbourg, One of my dreams is to visit l'hermitage museum, one of the biggest art museum in the world, like Le louvre in Paris, the National Gallery in London, Les Offices in Firenze or the Met in NYC.

Vietnam, I know that may seem strange coming from an American, but it's a beautiful country. Id also like to go to Norway, because that's where some of my ancestors are from. Along with Germany for the same reasons.
Japan and China, too. Id just have to ready myself for being stared at or approached. I have unique features they'd find intriguing and possibly beautiful. With their standards of beauty.

I can back this up. I know two of them.

Anyway, the places I want to go to are usually places people wouldn't think of. Winchester House. Waverly Hills. Chernobyl.

Cuba--Iran-Saudi

Expect I don't understand the language and couldn't take it all in and besides we can't visit Saudi Arabia and Iran cause we might harm the people there with our messed up western views. ha ha

Yeah it be sad it some ways to see how life is for some people but it could be so interesting.

We from the US can't visit Cuba cause Florida tourism would crash. Who would fly to Florida for a holiday when Cuba is just 30 mins farther and has warmer temps in the winter and cheaper prices.

Don't give me this its how the Cuban government is, heck China gov is worst yet they are our good friends. The travel ban to Cuba is just to help out Florida's tourism.

- Machu picchu
- Brazil (So Paulo and Rio in carnival period)
- St Petersburg
- Tokyo and Kyoto
- Sidney and Melbourne
- India
