What's the prettiest place you've ever been?
For me it has to be the Royal Botanical Gardens (Kew although the Edinburgh ones were nice too)! It was so lovely!

Are you for real?

Of course! It was so colourful and exotic! And what's the word? Sublime!

I prefer anywhere with a decent castle or ruins, myself.

I really liked South Africa when I went. Thought it was very beautiful.
But what's gorgeous and most beautiful to me is New York. Never been, always wanted to. For now, I'm sticking with trips to Canada's (version of NY) downtown Toronto.
Anyway, I think New York is breathtaking. I feel the same way about downtown Toronto as well.

The Yorkshire Dales.
I like green, hilly landscapes.
I want to see somewhere cliffy at some point so I'll probably go to Ireland. I'd also love to see New Zealand because what I've seen of their countryside on TV looks beautiful.

Waverly Hills Sanatorium.
Or the Winchester House.
edit - misread the post. Those are the two most beautiful places I would LIKE to go to, haven't been to.
I really like the Falls in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. They're gorgeous.

I've been to Huntington Beach in South Carolina when I was on vacation a few years ago. It's kind of a like a state park on the beach. There is an extremely old one story mansion that is like mini castle ruins right on the beach. It is gorgeous, and some groups go there and tell ghost stories at night. I've seen a lot of beautiful wildlife there, and we found sand dollars (one was alive although I think we killed it when we brought it home). It's really nice because it's away from the commercial beach properties and it feels so serene. I want to go back nooow.

Oooooo Bamboo you have to come see the Cliffs of Moher! They are absolutely amazing
My most beautiful spots I've been to would be... South Africa, Yosemite Park, GREECE and here of course
I have so much beautiful scenery right on my doorstep but I don't go out and appreciate it enough!

I thought New Zealand's South Island was really pretty, Milford Sound was pretty cool. Santorini and Crete were also quite nice, I especially liked Matala and the Red Beach.
I think my favorite place of all is Colorado though. I love all the pretty Aspen trees and the trickling streams of snow melt.
**Edit: I totally forgot about Banff. I only barely remember it because I was pretty young when I went there. But that place is gorgeous

Anywhere I've ever been in Ireland. Some of the highlights were the Cliffs of Moher (and we went through Galway on the way down, Galway Bay is gorgeous--Leenie is right, she's surrounded by beautiful countryside), all of Co. Donegal especially the coast, and all of Fermanagh (so many gorgeous, shining lochs), especially around Loch Melvin. Although my absolutely favorite, most beautiful place I've been to in Ireland is around Rogue in Bundoran.
I went to Magnetic Island in Australia and I really loved it. I could imagine living there. Pretty much everywhere I went in Australia, although I was only in northern Queensland, was spectacular and really diverse.
I also just love the mountains around where I live in Appalachia. I was out in northern California for a while and everybody kept telling me it was the most beautiful place in the world, and while it is pretty, I don't think it can compare to the gorgeous hills, valleys, and mountains of where I live. Moving away and back again really made me appreciate how beautiful it is here. Besides, everyone knows Ireland is the most beautiful place in the world

I really like green and hilly, mountainous or completely bleak landscapes and living in Lancashire and very close to the Derbyshire, there are lots of really beautiful areas very close to me; like Greenfield, Saddleworth and the Peak District.

My favourite place of all the places I have ever been is Tintagel castle in Cornwall.

Snowdonia in summer is a beautiful place. That wins for me, never seen such beautiful lakes, mountains and sheep.

Eli Creek at Fraser Island! You swim in the creek and the water is completely clear. You can see all the little fishies swimming around you and it's underneath a canopy of rainforest. It's absolutely stunning.
Palm Valley in Alice Springs. It's literally a giant oasis in the middle of the Australian dessert.
The Daintree rainforest in Queensland.
Luxor in Eqypt. The view from the top of Karnak temple is amazing.

I'm basically in love with ALL of the UK, especially now that I don't live there, I look at pictures of British countryside like it's porn
Outside of the UK the only places I've been that I'd say were truly beautiful would be Courchevel in the French alps and Amsterdam. Oh and Heidelberg. And Bamberg. And Luzern. I have really not travelled very much though.

I've never actually been anywhere that's particually breath-taking.
But I guess anywhere is better than the bogan town I live in, so...

My husband took me to a place here in Denmark last summer. I took this picture. It was pretty, but they ruined the whole thing (hedge mazes and an ancient castle) with cheesy things like a car museum, and a "dracula's crypt"
