I think we should have an alert system for when we're quoted, for new post in subscriped topics, and in topics you posted. With an option to turn one of these options off if it starts annoying you. I think when it comes to the topics, it shouldn't alert every time there is a post, but more every time becomes active again. Like if there hasn't been a post in a couple of hours or days and there is a new post it alert you that its active again and you can check it out. I think this would help keep the forums more active. Which makes for a better, more attractive online community.

YES. I've been wishing for this for so long, it would be so much easier instead of searching through pages & pages ._.
Especially for Role plays.

I have never even seen it? Sure a controllpanel for subscribed threads but never just alerts.

The only thing I can think of that's similar to these alerts is Facebook, where as I'm sure everyone knows you're always updated when someone replies to you. I think it would be useful for people who are active in the forums a lot, save them from having to trawl through to see if someone has responded/quoted them.
