Ignoring Eli's pleads I followed my dream and headed for the woods. He followed complaining the whole way. "Well, Eli maybe if you weren't so afraid this witch woulddd.........Was that a howl?" We heard something moving in the trees. Eli tells me to keep walking but it was all ready too late. The beast is in front of us. I freeze but Eli tries to run. It pounces on him tearing him from limb to limb. I run blindly through the woods fearing for my life. Ahhhh! I trip on a rock and fall into some bushes. Great thorns too. Wait, what is this ? Roses, didn't Eli say something about roses. I heard the beast coming and try to get off as many roses as possible. It approached on all fours growling and snarling at me. When it launched I forgot all about a plan and ran behind the bush. Fortunately that was all I needed. The beast went head first, mouth open right into the rose bush. All I could see was the smoke rising from it's throat. I began to feel pity as I heard it grasping and choking for air. Not like a beast but a human controlled by something that's very existence is considered damned for just being. What a horrible life it must had led. I move on I have to find this witch while I still have a life to save.

Thankfully he eventually stopped with the lecture how dangerous it had been for me getting out alone and just told me to get my coat and go home. He looked kinda serious so I gulped down a complaint and just quickly told N I was leaving the office party. Back at home the curse breaker only let me rest like 4h! What about my beauty sleep?! I hadn't slept properly in days! But he said we should start the research about the witch as soon as possible. When he asked sarcastically if I wanted more ghost visitors I once again stopped complaining and opened laptop. I made a list about magical places in Bimbotown and then curse breaker and I explored them all day... my feet were hurting like hell and not a single sight of the damn witch! Good point about that was that I finally got some rest with the permission of Mr curse breaker. Well, or so I had hoped. I was having a nightmare! All those monsters, ghost and creature where getting to me it seams. I think I need therapy! Of course only if I survive that damn curse...
In my dreams a woman who looked rather weird and ugly and strange and she was calling my name... over and over again... told me to meet her... in the woods... I saw an image of a house... my name again... then I woke up alarmed. After a short moment of confusion I got up and went into the living room where the curse breaker had made himself comfortable. I didn't want him here but he had insisted on staying close to me, even suggested camping beside my bed but no way! In the end I gave in and allowed him to sleep on the couch. When I told him about my dream he asked for every single detail I remembered and then fell into a long thinking break and I decided to make some coffee and a snack. When I returned he told me he knew the place I had been dreaming about but going there at night and at full moon would be too dangerous and rather foolish. But I was in high spirits from defeating that vampire and zombie. What harm could a wolf do? I had seen wolves in the zoo... they were not that large. Since I was fully awake not after the coffee I decided to go on a little witch hunt. I packed a little bag with some supplies and then we left my apartment. The curse breaker followed me grudgingly annoying me with stupid warnings. After a 30 minutes drive, parking the car we entered the woods. Damn, I forgot to bring a flash light. The moon was bright but at one point we had to skip the path and then it was rather dark. I kept close to the curse breaker now thinking I should have waited till daylight with this expedition after all. But I couldn't admit it towards him, couldn't I? And then I heard a howl... I cold shiver ran down my back... this didn't sound good at all... The curse breaker dragged me into the bushes and signalled me to be silent. We waited and then something moved like 10 metres away from us... and it was huge! Not a normal dog sized wolf! And not cute at all either! I had the urge to run but that beast was probably faster anyway. It started sniffing and slowly came towards us. Next to me the curse breaker was preparing his gun but then stopped. From the little light shining from above I noticed that he was frantically looking for something. He had a shocked expression on his face and then signalled me to run away. I raised an eyebrow questioningly but he must have overlooked it. But I did as he had instructed me. While I was slowly crawling away, he made a diversion for the beast by throwing rocks as far away as possible from us into the bushes and then followed me. But it was no good. We hardly had managed to stand up and run a few metres when the beast stopped, sniffed and was on our track again. The curse breaker took his gun and fired. He hit it 6 times and the beast stopped looking at its chest. The curse breaker grabbed my arm and together we sprinted away. 'Why are we running away' I coughed after a while a bit out of breath. 'Because those bullets are useless against it.' 'You hit it directly into the chest. How could that be useless?' I asked him. 'Because those were no silver bullets. I must have forgotten to fill up my stock.' 'Are you telling me we are in the woods with a werewolf and probably a witch and you don't have ammunition?' 'That's about right. I am sorry... that never had happened to me before. Someone was very distracting...' 'What?' 'Oh. never mind. Better continue running. We should return home! I hopefully have some silver bullets there. The beast will surely follow your track. We might have some time to make a trap if we get to the car safely and soon.'
I finally spotted the car and was about to feel relieved when something hairy suddenly blocked our way. The curse breaker cursed. 'Now, listen to me' he whispered urgently. 'I will distract it and you will run to the car and get home. Find the silver bullets. Be prepared.' And with that he handed me his gun and started jumping around like a fool while the beast approached him. I slowly walked into the bushes and forwent them. I was nearly at the car when the beast jumped. The curse breaker quickly got out of the way but it was obvious the beats would sooner or later catch him. Horror-struck I watched the wolf play with its victim... 'Run' he yelled and those words shook me out of my trance. For a moment it had looked like the bets solution to just feed him to the wolf with the tiny hope that all my problems would disappear with the curse breaker together if he vanished... But there was the ring... It was not his fault... I couldn't leave him here... but what to do? I opened my bag... hm, sandwich... that wolf didn't need an appetiser... lipstick? No make-up in the world could make it pretty... hairspray? Now there was an idea... I approached the monster from behind and sprayed its back with the hairspray. It seemed to have felt something because it turned around. I didn't have time to check where the curse breaker was... I continued spraying the beast and the stuff seemed to at least hurt its eyes a bit... It slashed blindly at me and I ducked and took a lighter from my purse. I flicked a flame to life and put the flame on hold before I threw it at the wolf. 'Burn in hell' I said and felt really cool. The burning wolf was on fire and in pain and rage. The curse breaker wasn't hurt luckily and while the beast howled we quickly got away to the car and drove home. 'That was careless' he said when we were home. I shrugged my shoulders. 'You should have left!' 'I couldn't just leave you there to die. Even if I would have defeated that werewolf what was I supposed to do next? Have you thought about that? I don't know a thing about that witch, the curse or monsters and how to defeat them. I need you to be my guide.' 'That is all' he whispered so I wasn't sure if he had actually said it or if I had imagined it.
There was silence before he said 'thank you'. He looked thoughtful and under his calculated stare I blushed. 'I will go have a shower now' I mumbled. He just nodded and I hurried away. This silent and heroic - where did that thought come from?! - was totally creepy! I needed to wash myself and should make sure I also clear my head...

Kristen Whelan, Werewolf
That kiss had shaken up the world. You'd found yourself in his arms not as an abstract charge to be protected, but as a partner, someone instead of something. He'd driven you both from the gala and then to his home, feeling both that you'd be safer there and that he ought to tell you the whole story. After encountering the ghost- Rachel, he insisted- and Caroline- the vampire, he sneered- in your home and at your school, you were more then amenable to the idea of spending the night somewhere protected.
The argument you'd had after fighting the vampires had inspired you both; you had finally stopped cowering in the corner while the big strong man protected you. You weren't going to dismiss his protection, but you didn't want to rely solely on it anymore, especially after he'd put you to bed without telling the tale.
"It's not something to be spoken in the moonlight, Heltinne." he says, hazel-gold eyes fixed on the fire he'd laid in the living room hearth.
"You can't avoid the question forever, Adem," you press petulantly, "no matter how awkward you find it to talk about your ex." His snap to yours.
"My ex?" he drawls. "Such a cavalier way to refer to the woman trying to kill you." You give him a tired look of pure exasperation and flick open the face of the ring.
"We had this conversation at the university, or am I wrong? This," she gestured to the exquisite miniature, "isn't a woman's ring?" You don't wait for his response. "It's a love token, Adem, with your face in it." You look at him expectantly, but he has turned his gaze back to the fire.
"In the morning, it's not something to speak of at night."
"I don't believe you."
"Fine. I am not going to speak of it tonight. We both need sleep, and I need to be drunk." He raises his voice slightly, more with emphasis than with anger, but you can tell the subject is closed.
"Fine." you parrot, grabbing his hand and dragging him up the stairs. Regardless of all else, you feel, you are not sleeping alone tonight.
You find yourself standing on the roof of his house in a dress you've never worn and do not own. You think it's regency, but your knowledge comes from romance novels and Pride and Prejudice, so you can't be sure how accurate you are. You step to the edge of the roof, and the moonlight glints off the ring, open on your finger. You close it with a decisive snap and jump, hate and despair flooding you in equal measures.
You do not fall, but rather fly, the giddy joy you should feel in flight subsumed by the hate you used to power it. You scorn the earth, bathed as it is in the moonlight, and fly unimpeded and invincible, into the forest. Behind you, his voice calls your name, but you ignore it as he ignored you, you care for his tender feelings no longer, only his suffering.
In the woods, you keep to the darkest shadows left by the full moon's light. You can hear the howling and the baying, but they do not concern you; what wolf can fly? Deeper and deeper you delve into the light-drinking forest, finally landing in a clearing. There is no light at all here, but you can feel the space surround you and smell the water, and you smile for the first time since you discovered his true self. This place will be the perfect seat of your revenge.
Moving to the pool, you call forth the first of ancient magics. You look to find the future, instead finding yourself snarling in fury. He stands at your doorstep, a woman in tow. You can see no details of the woman; you know only that she isn't you. Your fist breaks the still surface of the water, scattering the image never to be seen again. You turn back to face the forest, knowing you have to begin. All things take time. Raising your hands and your voice, you begin.
You wake violently, unfamiliar surroundings compounding the terror brought on you by the strange dream. Staring down at the gorgeous man man still asleep beside you, you realize that you dreamt the witch's memory, that something turned her love for the man beside you into consuming hatred.
You slip from the bed, heading downstairs to raid his kitchen for a glass of warm milk when a different idea occurs to you. The knowledge that he's hiding something burns you, and the dream showed you that the witch's lair was no more than a couple of miles into the forest from here. Foregoing your milk, you move to the couch. Your dress lies on it, beside the bag holding the change of clothes you always bring to both fancy parties and dramatic events. You dress quietly, but he comes down the stairs as you tie your shoes.
"Where do you mean to die, then?" he asks you caustically as you move towards the door.
"Why tell you?" you parry. "It's not as though you do me that courtesy." He's crossed the room faster then you can quite believe and he lays a possessive, restraining hand on your shoulder. You shrug it off, irritated. He reaches over you and closes the door, stepping around you to hold it shut. Glaring, you tell him.
"I had a dream. She's only a few miles away. We should check it out."
"We now?" he responds, raising a skeptical brow. "You seemed quite ready to go it alone a moment ago." You huff, trying to push past him through the door. "You were much more amenable earlier," he mutters, pushing you onto the couch beside your dress. "I don't want to lose you, Heltinne." His voice is serious, and as he looks you in the eyes, you can see the sincerity in his words. "Those woods are never safe, but tonight they are dangerous beyond belief. We can look for her in the light of day, rather than under the full moon."
"She won't be there tomorrow!" You burst out, driven by some urgent knowledge you didn't even know you new.
"Then we'll find where she's going," he snapped back. "I'm not taking you into a forest full of werewolves on the full moon!" You see the sense in his words, but you cannot fight the pull. Something is calling you there; you need to be there; you need to find her. Springing to your feet, you sprint to the door before he can stop you.
"Then follow!" you call over your shoulder, running for the tree line.
"Heltinne, wait!" he calls behind you. You try to stop, but having given in to the pull, it drags you forward with terrible speed; you didn't think you could run this fast. Thirty minutes later, you find yourself in the clearing, on the south bank of the pool of water, staring at the place where the witch should be. There is a woman there, but she is not the one you were expecting. Dressed all in brown, smoking an old-fashioned ladies' cigarette, she nods a cool, dispassionate greeting to you.
"Heltinne, right?" she asks, putting out her cigarette on the bottom of her shoe and then placing it in the crook of a nearby tree. You nod, struck by the incongruity of the woman, her behavior, and your expectations. "Good," she replies, cracking her neck. "Wouldn't want to kill the wrong woman, would I?"
The moment her words register she's gone, and an enormous brown werewolf is lunging at your throat. You scream your lungs, out, bringing up your arms in a futile attempt at defense. Her jaws close around your wrist, and open in a howl. Her fur looks as though it has been burnt, and you stare, blankly wondering why she let you go.
Story's not finished, but this week is beyond busy. Please judge it as is. I'll finish it when I can, just in case anyone wants to read it.
Disclaimer: I found the werewolf image by google search. I don't own it.

...finds out the curse breaker is cursed... o.o
the curse breaker at their first meeting...
Finally home! In the car I had noticed how much I must smell like wed do and everyone who had ever washed a dog in a small bathroom knows what I am talking about. Ew. I needed a bath and the curse breaker too - we both smelled awfully. To the werewolf smell on him was added blood... and I hoped it was not his. I made a mental note to check out for wounds. Wasn't even a scratch from a werewolf dangerous? He would probably know about such things but at the moment he was gloomy and moody silent and I was too tired to chit chat. Back home he just sat down and fell asleep on the coach. I shrugged my shoulders and started filling the tub with water. Meanwhile I drank some coke and made some cup noodles. I didn't notice how hungry I had been! I added a chocolate bar before I felt at least a bit filled and then returned to the bathroom. Nothing better than a hot bath after an exhausting day! I washed my hair, peeled my whole body and even started humming a melody. Just then I heard a voice... a familiar one... oh no! 'Not you again' I groaned and dived a bit more underwater. I have important news... I found the location of the witch... go there... she is living in an old castle... a ruin more or less... close to the wood... you know where... you need to be determined to find it... the curse breaker might help you to overcome magical barriers and obstacles... dress not like yourself... the witch is old... over 200 years old... hurry... take the ring... go! And with that she was already gone. I hated ghosts! The mood was ruined. Grumpily I stepped out of the warm water and wrapped a bathrobe around me and returned tot he living room. Ungently I shook the curse breakers shoulder. 'Hey, get up. We have a witch to fight.' 'Hm' he mumbled sleepily. 'Get up. You still smell. Go wash and then we go witch hunting.' 'But we don't know the exact location of the witch' he replied. 'The creepy little ghost girl told me. Just showed up again to brighten up the day' I said sarcastically. 'Oh. Ok then.' He yawned and stretched. 'Are you sure I need to come with you? I haven't been that useful to you yet.' 'The ghost said I might need your assistance with removing magical barriers and stuff.' 'Hm...' He didn't look so sure but I pushed a towel in his hand and pushed him towards the bathroom. 'What's the sense in bathing when I only get dirty again' he asked. 'You smell. End of discussion.' He closed the bathroom door behind him. Somehow his mood had been down since the last fight. Men and their ego... When he returned we both at some sandwiches, had a few hours sleep and then prepared for the journey to the Wicked Witch of Bimboland. 'Oh, I forgot something. The ghost said not to dress as myself? And the witch is old...' 'Hm, yes, I know the witch is old. Not dress as yourself' he asked. 'Maybe a costume' I suggested. 'Hm, not any costume I think. You need to look like you are from her time.' I groaned. 'You know what women had been wearing back then? How am I supposed to fight of anyone in a long dress?!' 'More important is if you have anything suitable? And it might be enough if you get changed when we arrive near the place. So at least travelling won't be so weird and also not so noticeable.' 'Yes, I have suitable clothes. Luckily I work for the LHC and we do a lot of theme parties, festivals and carnival stuff.' I packed a long dress and some accessories in a little bag and only styled my hair at home.
During the journey we stay silent. I wasn't sure what to expect. Was she a witch that I was able to talk to or was she really wicked? The journey ended way too quickly for my taste. Before I knew it we already saw the castle in the distance. We parked the car in the woods and before we left it I told the curse breaker to turn around so I could get changed. When i was done we walked to the main entrance. The curse breaker was still silent and if I was not mistaken he looked really uncomfortable. Maybe he was afraid of that witch?
The door was opened by a housemaid in an old costume. 'What do you want' she asked. 'We are here to see the w... erm owner of this castle' I replied. 'Do you have an appointment?' Huh? Witches have appointments? Before I could reply the curse breaker replied 'yes' and told the maid his name. Was too long and complicated for me to re member. The maid guided us through a long entrance hall, up several stairs and through a labyrinth of rooms. Finally she knocked on a door and a voice called 'come in'. The maid left and we stepped inside a huge room. Next to a window was a table with a chair on which sat a woman dressed in black. She looked grim. For a 200 year old woman she looked quite young just her make up was abit too dark and gave her wrinkles. When she stood up her eyes sparkled and it wasn't because of me... her focus was on the curse breaker only... 'Finally we meet again' she said. 'Yes...' he replied. 'Excuse me? You know her?!' But I was ignored. 'You don't look like you managed to shake of your destiny yet, curse breaker or should I better say unsuccessful curse breaker?' she sniggered. He remained silent. 'Oh come on. It couldn't have been that difficult. You were such a charmer once.' 'That lies all behind me.' I had no clue what the two were talking about. Suddenly the witch turned to me. 'And who are you? Are you here to help this poor man?' 'What? Poor man? No. He is here to help me...' but suddenly I wasn't so sure about that anymore. 'Here to help you?' the witch raised an eyebrow. 'Now that is a new side to our dear old fellow here. Tell me, what is it that you want?' I showed the witch the ring and she burst out into laughter's. 'I had no idea that ring was still intact' she giggled. I rolled my eyes. 'This is serious, you know? Monsters tried to kill me!' 'And still here you are' she replied matter-of-factly. 'That was luck and I had help. I don't want to know how many died because of that ring. And it should be destroyed so the curse is broken so nobody ever gets hurt by it again.' 'Just melt it in' the witch said. 'Is that all?' I asked doubtfully. 'Yes. That is all. It's just a minor curse. The one the curse breaker has is much more difficult and severe' she said maliciously. Since there were open fires in the firesides I threw the ring in one of them. There was a bit of green smoke and after a while the ring was gone. 'Now that was easy. Why didn't you tell me it was that easy?' I snapped at the curse breaker. 'I bet you...' but I stopped in mid sentence. The poor bloke didn't look too good. 'What's wrong' I asked worried. 'It's the curse' the witch replied. 'I told him he only had a couple of years to break it' she sighed. 'What kind of curse? And why didn't you tell me about that?' I yet again snapped at him. 'It's a love curse' the witch replied. 'And I will tell you why he got it.' 'No' he suddenly yelled. 'Oh, be silent' and she waved her finger and the curse breaker fell silent. 'What did you do to him?' I yelled. 'Just shut him up while I tell you a fairytale. He will get his voice back afterwards. Do sit.' Since I just glared at her she sighed and I felt something push me down into a chair. 'Now, where was I? Yes, the love curse. Once upon a time there was a young man who was so lovely and handsome that he was able to charm all the girls. Only one resisted his charm. But instead to choose one from the ones that were already I love with him he decided he wanted the one he can't have. That woman was already in love with another man and they wanted to get married. Spiteful as the hero of our story was he told lies o the fiancé about his soon to be wife and after a while the fool believed it. He broke of the engagement and the poor woman was heart broken. Of course she soon found out what had happened and cursed the hero for what he had done. The end.' 'Huh? That's it? What kind of curse? Did he manage to break it?' 'I think I let the hero tell you the rest of the story' and she looked at the curse breaker. She snipped her finger and it looked like he got his voice back. Even I had understood that this was just a metaphor for him anyway so I looked at him questioningly. 'Doesn't matter' he sighed. 'My time is nearly up and I failed so I am stuck like this. I already got used to it.' 'Wait what? This isn't your normal look?' The annoyed look on his face told me more than anything. 'Sorry' I mumbled. 'But you did change a bit, you know. First you were really ugly.' 'Thanks.' 'Sorry again. Anyway, now you look less... well, ugly. What does that mean?' 'That there might be hope for him' the witch replied. 'I have given up on hope a long time ago. I won't fall for your tricks.' 'Your decision. Not my fault then.' 'It is your fault I am like that.' 'No, yours. You ruined my relationship with the man I loved 10 years ago.' And then the two had an argument about who ruined whoms life. Daaaah. Boring. After a while I asked: 'Are you two done? Great. How about a little suggestion? I help you with your love life and you lift the curse?' I proposed. 'Nobody can help me with my love life, foolish girl.' 'Believe me, I can help anyone. I have never failed. And this time it won't be a scumbag who doesn't trust you but decides to believe in some random guy.' 'Do as you please. You won't succeed.' 'I will' I replied confidently. 'I just need a picture of you and you need a little make-over, my dear.' 'I don't' the witch hissed. 'I know Goth, emo and dark are all in and all that but a little less black and a little more purple would do wonders on you!' I assured her. 'Hm, you really think though?' she asked now. Women... all the same, including me. I nodded. 'Now, how to help that poor bloke?' I asked. But the witch was only halfway listening since she had opened a huge closet and was looking at her clothes. 'Hm? Oh he. He can only help himself. Ok, that is not exactly true. You think that would make me look fat? No? Good. See, since he ruined my relationship I gave him this pretty new makeover and cursed him he will stay like that until he falls in love with a ring owner.' 'Wait, what?! But I destroyed that ring! Oh God. Why didn't you tell me that before?! Why did you both let me destroy the ring?!' 'It doesn't matter' he said. 'Well, my dear, you were too busy with your problems and didn't wait for the whole story.' 'But, but...' I was close to tears now. 'I am so sorry!' I cried. 'It is ok. The time was up anyway.' 'No, it was not' the witch said. 'What?' he turned around, glaring at her. 'The time was always a lie. As long as you are stuck in that form the same time you can try to break it' she told us. He growled and made a jump at the witch but she just smiled and let some ropes appear out of nowhere which tied themselves around his body. 'After all those girls you managed to make fall for you, you didn't manage fell in love once yourself?' 'No' he snapped. 'It is not that easy. Some were men and I only like women. Some died too fast due to the rings curse.' 'And what about this one here?' 'What about me?' He looked away. 'You can't force love' I told her. 'Oh, I am pretty sure nothing is forced here.' He made the curse breaker turn to the wall while she got changed. 'Now, that's purple and black. What do you think?' 'You look pretty but what about him?' 'Only he can tell you that. I will fix my hair while you two have a little chat. Then we can talk about that dating offer of yours' and with that she vanished. 'Hmpf.' 'I better go' he said. 'What? Why?' He smiled. 'The curse is broken and my job done.' 'No!' 'What else is there to do for me?' he asked sadly. I had no answer to this. I mean he was right. I was free again, but he not. It seemed so unfair. 'Too bad this is not like Beauty and the Beast. Your curse would be broken then...' I sighed. 'Yes, maybe one girl would have fallen for me or even a man but don't worry about me. I will be fine. I managed the past decade and I will manage the next too.' 'You are retarded.' 'What? Why are you insulting me?' 'Idiot' I told him. I left him standing there and made my way to the door. Maybe the witch needed help with... witching. I felt an arm around my hand. 'What did you just say?' he asked. 'That you are an idiot' I repeated. 'No, before that...' I rolled my eyes. 'But if you like me then there is hope...' he whispered and suddenly looked happy and handsome as never before. I raised an eyebrow and he suddenly laughed. 'You know I am such a fool. Maybe I should have mentioned it earlier... but I was so devastated and never believed I would ever like anyone... but I do like you...' 'But why wasn't the curse lifted then? You are still cursed. less cursed somehow but still cursed.' 'I don't know' he bit his lip. 'Who knows what strange bit that old hag added to her curse?' *poof* He was slapped on the head. 'Ouch!' 'I heard that' the witch said. Ok, children. Speak after me, curse breaker: I like... what's your name again, missy?' 'Meimei and I am not going to get married now.' 'Just let me do my part. Ok, let's start again. I like Meimei. Come one, just say it. It won't work if I force you to it.' 'I like Meimei' he whispered and blushed. 'Since your name is too long I will only use your first one. Now missy it's your turn. I like Bartholomew.' I repeated what the witch said. There was suddenly smoke and then...
My yaw nearly dropped to the ground. The witch smiled. 'That was easy' I said. 'Not was easy as if it may have looked. Only if the feelings were true it would work. And I had to be there to instruct the curse breaker and his chosen love.' At those words I blushed too. Maybe it had been during the battles or afterwards that I had started to grow feelings for this strange man that had showed up one day, oh, just a few days ago, as a curse but also as my only help... It was all a bit strange... He on the other hand looked nervous. The witch lost patience and used her magic again and now we were facing each other a bit embarrassed. 'If she liked you in your cursed form she surely would like you now. She has a weird taste though. I prefer tough and tall men. After you two have finally got it over with I am ready to meet some men! Don't take too long' and she vanished again. We just grinned and then fell into each others arms...
