help with avatar project?
Sorry if this there's already a thread for this or if this is the wrong place. I'd like the make an avatar, or maybe a banner, that, like, blinks through a series of images? As I think is evident, I have no idea what I'm doing. Is there someone who could maybe walk me through it? Is it hard to do? ...help...

Hey,
I'm no expert but it's not hard to do at all. Here's How:
A 'flashing image' is literally many pictures played one after the other in different movements.
For Example: If you wanted to do an animation about a girl saying hey, but wanted the letters to appear/flash one by one, you would make 4 images.
1.With girl and a speech bubble
2.With H inside speech bubble
3.With HE inside speech bubble
4.With HEY inside speech bubble
You would then save them (high quality, and all exactly the same size)
and Use a website like:
http://www.snazzyspace.com/image-effects/image-animator/
which would play them one after the other for you.
You can decide how fast or slow you want the images to change etc
