I guess I should join. I've been eating healthier and healthier lately (although I just ate a massive chunk of cheesecake
)
I've almost cut out processed or enhanced food completely. I still snack on chocolate or the occasional Le Rice, but other than that, I try not to touch anything with numbers these days.
I've also almost completely cut meat from my diet. I don't know if I'm happy to go completely veggie, as I do enjoy seafood a lot and it is quite healthy to eat. So I think I'm going to aim for Pescatarian by 6 months. It shouldn't be too hard. I had my first meat dish today since about a fortnight ago and I actually didn't feel very happy about eating it and just didn't really enjoy it.
I think what I really need is to get motivated to work out though. I don't really do anything except for when I'm running around and lifting heavy stuff constantly at work.

I've been going to Zumba Tone classes at the gym on campus here since last fall, it's so much fun! I consider myself in pretty decent shape, but get out of breath a break a sweat 4-5 minutes into the Zumba warmup, and the class lasts an hour!
Also cutting down on the amount of processed foods I eat- I try to make things from scratch or buy "all natural" if I can. That doesn't mean I'll totally eliminate the occasional-rare snack I love (Doritos, pringles, candy) once in awhile. But usually, I eat pretty healthy. And since I don't have a car yet, I walk anywhere from 2-5 miles per day to and from class, depending on how many trips I have to take.

Check out my cookbook!!Offline
I've had a setback since I hurt my knee
But I'm still eating well and doing whatever exercise I can. When I get better I'm thinking of trying a couple of sessions of Hot Yoga, it's supposed to be amazing!

I haven't been so great with my food choices so far this year. Some days I eat kind of healthy and other days it's just awful, some days I don't eat anything except some yogurt and fruit.
For the past week or so I've had really bad nausea and a gripey tummy, so I'm going to try to cut out most processed foods for a while to see if that helps. I may even attempt to make homemade bread later this week.
I have been getting a lot more active. I still feel weak from being sick, but I go to the gym twice a week now and I feed all of our animals in the evenings, so that involves a fair bit of walking back and forth through thick mud.

I really want to see this thread live since I need all of the fitness inspiration I can get right now. Now that the weather is nice I've been walking outside and "attempting" to jog. I am so freaking out of shape... it is pathetic. I need to learn how to breathe when I run... I always end up hyperventilating. Plus, having a heart murmur probably doesn't help.

Omg I feel so horrible being healthy has gone straight out the window aside from green tea occasionally and I feel sick every night now and anxiety has gotten worse ok ~time for a fresh start (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
I had a kiwi fruit & coffee for breakfast this morning.
And I'm going to maybe have a piece of toast for lunch before work and then a piece of fruit when I get home.
And I'm going to go for a walk.
And then I'm going to eat dinner.
And then have a green tea and read before bed.
And I'm limiting myself to two hours of computer a day (starting from when I get home obviously).
Okay I've said it out loud I have to do it now.

Yay, this thread is back!
So I've been doing good for the past few months. I really started to make some progress last month. So far I lost 10 lbs but that was my last weight in last week. I have been really stressed this week because I have exams and projects coming up so I completely screwed up my diet this week. But next week I'm going shopping for fruits and veggies so hopefully I'll be back on track. My initial goal for to lose 20lbs by mid-summer since I'm already halfway there, I think I should add a new goal, but I think I'll wait a bit to do that.
SN: I just found out that my insurance plan has a rewards program where if you lose weight, workout and stay healthy you gain points, and those points can be used to get stuff like Ipods, designer purses, sunglasses and a lot more. So I think I'm going to buy a pedometer to keep track of my workouts and up load the info online so that I can get points. That's some extra incentive to workout, hopefully I'll have a free Ipod touch and maybe a designer purse by the end of the year.

I've actually been eating pretty well lately. Got rid of all the junk food in the house (except for my dad's potato chips which I don't touch). Something kind of traumatic/emotional happened today, so I did treat myself to *cough*3*cough* servings of some raspberry trifle, but I'm not going to beat myself up about it because I could have/felt like doing a lot worse and the medicine I took to deal with it all gives me a ravenous appetite. /diary rant
I also joined a new gym this past week. Want to lose some tubby flub before I have to go to a wedding next month. And I've been realllly active doing stuff with my horses lately, so I'm pretty sure I'm burning more calories than I'm taking in. I just want to find somebody in my area I can go hiking with--none of my friends here are very reliable exercise/hiking-wise! Also need to start swimming more.
And I got badly hungover for the first time ever when I was out of town a few weeks ago, so I've sworn off alcohol
Edit to say that at the new gym, a trainer and I figured out my goal should be to lose about 45 pounds by Oct.-Nov. I think I can do that pretty easily as long as I stay on track!

I ate only vegetables today! I know I should eat some grains and a little meat for fiber and protein, but trust me, my diet is not lacking at all in any of those areas. I bought the Brazilian butt lift DVDs and they should be here Monday.... I've been taking some diet pills too that aren't too bad for you.
I found inspiration in this girl who I went to school with since kindergarten, and she was always the chubbiest girl in school. She was still pretty chubby until last fall when she started working out like crazy and she is freaking ripped now. If she looks that good in this short of time I should get off of my lazy ass riiiighht nao.

There are worse things than being fat!!!
I would love if that could be this thread's motto/tagline
Offline
I know, like getting diabetics, cancer, obesity and the list goes on and on...

And being mean, stupid, ugly
Those all seem worse.
If you're fat, smart, pretty, and nice, damn you're lucky!

@LadiiEva: Wow that's brilliant
And that's a bloody good incentive too omg. Here's hoping you get that iPod haha.
And omg Kitty well done that's awesome.
I did okay today after all. I didn't go for a walk, but it was getting dark when I got home and at work I do stand for the whole time so that's okay I guess.
Pretty proud of myself though, I had to wait 50 minutes for a bus and I didn't buy a single piece of food which normally I would've bought something so hurrah for saving money too.

Thanks Peanut! Your name made me think of the song "peanut butter jelly time". Now it will be stuck in my head for the rest of the day.
@Kitty: That's amazing! Congratulations!
Today is weigh-in day for me and I'm a little afraid because I just know that I did damage last week. But its a new week, so I have a fresh start. Good luck to everyone!
