New Site Design Wishlist

I thought it'd be fun for us (and hopefully helpful to the admins) if we came up with a list of changes we'd like to see when the site is redesigned. I'll go first...

(1) A shorter site banner. Right now, the site banner is 300px of wasted space, pushing the actual playable areas of the website down low. This forces me to scroll down for EVERYTHING. I'd prefer to see the redundant design elements in the margins on either side of the playable area (in what's current boring old gray).

(2) A mobile-friendly version. Sometimes I don't have computer access for a day. To get my BA points, I have to access MissB via my cell phone (not a smart phone!) or my iPod Touch. Accessing the site on a mobile device is ridiculously slow and cumbersome, which could easily be resolved with a separate template at "m.missbimbo.com"

(3) A serious navigation reorganization. I haven't put a lot of thought into HOW it should be organized, but I can tell you that the way it is right now is really cumbersome. I've been visiting the site for 3+ years and I still can't remember where some of the less-frequently-used links are!

Oh yes, these would all be good things.

On my 750px high laptop screen half the height is taken up by the top of the browser and the depth of the masthead. Even more than this when there are adverts.

For me the site was easier to use on my mobile when I first joined up almost two years ago. More and more people are using mobiles to access websites and these days we expect them to work. It's often difficult to arrange computer access when you are away from home.

And the current navigation looks more evolved than planned.

Gaw- I would LOVE an app for the game. I would even pay a touch for it! I would love to quickly log on and send her to the club. Now, it's just far too cumbersome to attempt to log on otherwise.

#3 would also be wonderful. It's a little silly really.

#1 Yes! I think its quite ridiculous that like EsmeW said, it take up almost half my screen. It's not like I even have a small computer screen so that just adds insult to injury. hmm
#2 This is the most important to me, honestly. I'm not always home so this would be very convenient.
#3 I don't get what your saying exactly maybe if you could go in to detail a little better? Sorry if it's a bother.
Oh I know this wasn't on your list but I would also hope in the new web design that the white on the side isn't there. I'm not sure if its part of the actual design, or...?

Oh I thought of a feature that would make me pay for VIB...instantly get ALL of your possible BA just by logging in, so you don't have to click through to the Beauty/Clinic/Games.

That would be handy, a feature where you can select your automatic daily activities, Hairdresser (what, random hairdos? or the option to keep your current style)
Tan
Scrub
Tatoos
Piercing
Makeup

If you select all (of course you can't select tan & scrub at the same time) when you log the BD is deducted and you get the BA (with the changes you requested, a "keep my current hairstyle/tan/tats/etc" option could be nice as well =P)

You will still have to play the games though, since the prices are not the same...

A queue could be nice too (don't know if they have this in the VIB, please tell me if they do) you can have a queue (3 or 5 activities max) you go to the library and instead of waiting 30 minutes do to another activity you can click "go dance" / "clean your pet"and it will go straight to the queue and the activity will start as soon as the first one finishes...

As for the mobile friendly version is something that would be nice, even though I don't use it on an iPod too often a few people do and it would help to keep people coming back more often.

And I agree wholeheartedly with the navigation organisation. I've tried to invite a friend here and they just got totally confused with why there were things at the top and things on the side and why you had to go one place to get to something else etc etc.

No we don't but i love the idea of that and what Arial said about logging in and getting all the BA

Haha, yeah. Seriously, that feature alone would get me to pay for VIB! Heck, I might pay for someone ELSE to have VIB if they were willing to log in under my account every day and make sure I get all my BA. tongue

I'd like that too! I have a smart phone, but the site is way to big and complex to easily find what I want.

An app would be great. But I'd be okay with just a mobile stylesheet that makes the site easier to navigate.

My #1 hope is that they reorganize things so the navigation makes more sense and is a lot faster. I would love it if they got rid of the hokey "town" and made it so each page of the site has its own URL (instead of everything being at missbimbo.com/jeu/ ) so I can go directly to the Tanning Salon or directly to the Club, for example.

And if they make it so VIPs automatically get their max BA every day without even logging in...that pretty much guarantees I will pay for a VIB subscription!
