Before you start or enter a contest, please read the following rules.
Fashion Contest Rules:
1. Any players that have 100 posts or less cannot create a new contest, but are eligible to participate in contests. If you are found spamming the forum just to increase your number of posts you will be issued an official warning.
2. Stealing will not be tolerated.. This includes stealing edits/images made by other players and claiming them as your own and taking images off the web and sticking a bimbo's head on them. Anyone caught doing this will be automatically disqualified and receive an official warning and/or ban. If you see anyone doing this in a contest please inform a moderator.
3. You may have one contest open at any time. If you have more than one contest running at a time, the most recent one(s) will be closed. This means either one single round OR one multi round. Not one of each.
4. There may be only one contest of any theme at any one time. Before starting your contest, please search for similar contests already running.
5. Contest rounds may only last up to 48 hours (72 hours if 'editing' is allowed) from when you start it. Please close them at this point regardless of participation. Edit the first post and put "Closed." so there can be no confusion.
6. The minimum time limit for contests is now 1 hour. This gives adequate time for members to create a desired look and enter if they choose to do so.
7. Results must be posted no later than 24 hours after the contest closes. After this the thread will be closed regardless. If this happens post the results and/or banners on the participant's profiles. Results must also be posted in the same thread, do not start a new topic to announce the results.
8. No inappropriate content. If you are unsure, please contact a moderator.
9. You may not offer a prize of bimbo dollars, VIB membership, or bimbo/home cred.
10. When your contest is finished, please contact a moderator to close the thread.
11. Do not "bump" your contest or someone else's. This means you cannot make posts such as "Come on girls, we only need three more!" and "Does anyone want to join?" and "1 hour left!" in your contest or another contest that does not belong to you. If you wish to comment on an entry do so on profiles.
12. You may not post about your contest in another thread, and you cannot start an entirely new thread to get people into your contest or to post the results of your contest.
13. Do not send private messages or profile comments asking people to participate. If someone wants to be in a contest they know where to seek them out. Contest invites are counted under the new party invites rules and are therefore banned.
14. You must always give credit if you use a pose, hairstyle or item made by another player. This means writing the name of the player and the item on the actual edit, and in no way refers to the other sort of 'credit' on this site.
15. You are not allowed to discriminate beyond the purpose of your contest. This means that you are not allowed to ban things such as VIB clothes, or players from a certain country etc. (it has happened before). However, this does not mean that you can't choose whoever you like when judging.
16. Multi-round contests are to be kept to the same thread. Edit the first post when a new round begins.
17. There is to be no use of the simulator in any contest.
18. There will be no polls in the Fashion Contest Forums. If you cannot judge a contest, do not host one.
Multi-Round Rules:
1. When naming your multi-round thread, add 'MR' after the name of your choice. Your title must also include the number of rounds you intend on having and what round your contest is on.
For example: Top Model Contest (MR 1/3).
This would mean that you are on round 1 of a competition with 3 rounds.
2. All MR contests may not exceed 5 rounds (6 total to include casting)
3. Edit your first post whenever you start a new round or close an existing one and inform your contestants on which page number they will find the start of each round and results from the previous rounds.
Example:
Round 1 (Closed) = Page 1
Round 2 and R1 results = Page 4
Final round (Open) = Page 8
Final results = Page 10
With multi-round contests each round itself can be a maximum of 48 hours for non-editing contests and 72 hours for editing. We do not expect you to be able to do a whole multi-round contest in 2 days.
4.Seeing as making groups in the group section for contests is becoming increasingly popular, we are now setting down a few simple rules for them.
A) In the first post of your group topic, it must link back to the
contest it pertains to. This is to help the mods keep track of what your
contest is about so that we don't just close the topic thinking it is a
repeat topic.
B) When the contest is over, the contest host should pm a
moderator so that we can close up your group topics. This just makes
everything easier, since you can send one pm to have your contest
closed and the group topics closed in one message.
5.Please contact an online moderator between each round of your contest and when it closes to update your titles.
Signature banners:
Please put them in your "About me" section in your profile, not in your signature. Remember that the maximum size for signatures in 10 lines:

The reason for having these rules is to help keep the Contests section uncluttered and allow players to easily navigate this section of the forum.

Additional Notes
While these are by no means compulsory in the same sense as the actual rules, players should make sure that they include the following in any contest to ensure that there is minimal confusion, and so that this section runs smoothly:
1 Description of the contest, either written or on a banner.
2. The Rules - these should always include the following:
- Length on the contest (including when it closes forum time)
- The number of entries allowed
- Whether it is edit, non-edit or both
- What the winners will receive
- General reminder to follow forum rules
- Any additional rules such as flipping images, backgrounds etc
3. An example, if necessary. If your contest is with regards to a specific item, you should always show which to avoid confusion.

Some Common Terms
Non-Edit - this means that you are only allowed to use items found in Nines, without altering them in any way.
Edit - This can either be editing 'from Nines' (which is altering clothes from the game) or 'from scratch' (which is when the outfit is completely made by the player). This always involves using an art program of some sort, and help and tutorials can be found here.
'Crediting' - this is when, once you have used a pose, hairstyle, item etc. made by another player, you credit them with each use of the edit. I find the best way to do this is to write the actual credits on the edit. Often if you neglect to credit in a contest, the host will penalise you and your entry may not be counted.
Example
Simulator - The simulator was made by a player a while back so that players could try out outfits before buying. It is banned in contests, and anyone caught using it will be disqualified and warned.
Flipping - This is when you use an art program to flip your bimbo so she faces the opposite way. This is not banned unless a host specifically says so.

Rule Reminders
Posted here because I think the sticky in this section has been up long enough 
STEALING
I feel the need to make this very clear to those hosting and entering contests in both sections.
STEALING IS NOT TOLERATED. This includes stealing edits/images made by other players and claiming them as your own and taking any images off the web. Anyone caught doing this will be automatically disqualified and possibly receive an official warning (at the discretion of a moderator.) If you see anyone doing this in a contest please inform a moderator - unfortunately this has been happening more and more often lately, and we need to be vigilant to cut down on it.
This has also been added to the rules of both sections, so there's no excuse for it to happen. Breaking this rule will leave you open to the same punishments as if you break any of the other rules on this game.
Also, be sure to credit if you use poses/hairstyles etc. made by other players because if you don't it can be technically classified as cheating.
Using items made by other players without permission and credit in your own edits is also considered cheating, and as such you will receive the same punishment if caught doing so.

Please PM a Moderator to close your contest once banners have been posted/winners announced. Don't worry about bothering us - we're more than happy to help, and it helps keep this section clear and the new contests easier to find 
As long as you have finished your contest and banners/results have been posted and a mod Pmed, you are welcome to open your next contest even if we haven't closed the actual thread yet.

There will be no polls in the Fashion Contest Forums.
1. It's pushing 'regular' contests pages back.
2. It's adding time onto to your existing contest.
3. Not fair to make your contestants wait for results.
If it is for a group, then hold the voting from WITHIN your group. There is no need to take up space in this Forum.

Contest Banners
Up until now there has been some ambiguity regarding where moderators and admin stand when it comes to posting banners on profiles, especially since the rule regarding party invites. After a few players enquired to me I have since contacted 'Thepavs' about the matter and she had this to say on the matter - 'I don't see any problem at all with posting banners on someones profile if they've been involved with a contest, I think that's absolutely fine.'
I think this clears up the matter
Of course, you should only really feel the need to post on profiles if your contest has already been closed after exceeding the 12 hour time limit. I will make all the other mods aware of this, but if anyone has any questions please direct them here. I will keep this here for a short duration, and then tag this in with the 'Polls/Closing Contests/Stealing' thread. I hope this helps you all ^-^
Additional comments -
1) Any hosts are welcome to ask us to re-open closed threads, and if you've entered a contest with no results posted then you're also welcome to contact us and we'll see if we can resolve it.
2) However, this does NOT mean that you can pass the set time frame for posting the results for your contest. Due to the overwhelming amount of abandoned and unfinished contests, moderators may issue warnings to those hosting such contests.
3) As long as a player has participated in a contest, you can post banners relating to it on their profile - whether it's a ranked banner (like '1st') or a participation. If you have a lot of participation banners and this will be hard, you are more than welcome to ask a mod to re-open your contest so you can post them there.
4) As far as banners are concerned: It is up to the Host, as to whether they are going to offer banners. But, they should make the contestants aware of this at the START of their contest!.
