You little big meanie
I don't really want to be rude but your tutorial doesn't helps that much. It helps getting an idea about the steps, somehow. The lines and the shape really aren't the best, they are totally messed, nor that I will say how many things are missing.
I think you should recommend your friend some tutorials made by people that really know what they are talking about and check some yourself, before making one.

Ok, then I won't be rude
I'll tell you my opinion.
The tutorial is not really good. You can see that you didn't even do the hair shape good, because it doesn't cover the whole head(that bald part). Also, the lines are not good either, but not really the worst I've ever seen.I mean, it could be worse. And the highlights look harsh.Because they must be thicker to use that level of blurring. If they are that smooth, you must blur them more.Or maybe that's just me?Whatever.
The tutorial is not really good, but as Rebela said, it helps newbies find out what hair editing is about.

I totally agree with Rebela and DyenutzZz.
The hair shape isn't good and doesn't cover whole head.
Also the lines and highlights are a big mess.
Looks like blood on her head.
There is no shadows (darker lights) and I think you might do hair in photoshop,or if you don't have photoshop, follow steps on paint.net just like in photoshop.
I think you should listen to our advices.
3 advices should make you think a better way to make hair.
I'm sorry but it just helps about the paint.net tools for the newbies, like bluring, drawing, shapes, and other things.
But it isn't that good like you MAYBE think it is.
Not as helpful as you though, well is for someone but it isn't really good, but is for beginning.
Practice more.
