Hogwarts Academy of Witchcraft and Wizardry - MR 5/5 - Round 5 open!

Lydia Blackheart is the Hufflepuff prefect, and anybody who knows her can understand why. A half-blood witch, Lydia values loyalty, hard-work, friendliness and fairplay. She practices all the previously mentioned virtues every day. She is patient with the new students, making sure they know exactly what Hufflepuff stands for. She is never stern and will help anyone who needs help. She is most remembered for standing up to Slytherin one day and proclaiming that "Hufflepuff does not need your pity. It is an honorable house". Her wand is Ash, 12¼", with a single unicorn hair at its core. Her favorite class is Herbology.

Ravenclaw prefect, Racquel Suzanna Mandeville is the product of pureblood parents, who both work for the Ministry of Magic. From the moment she stepped foot in the hallowed halls of Hogwarts, Raquel stood out in the crowd. It came as no surprise to anyone when the tall, svelte blonde was named prefect of Ravenclaw as well as quidditch captain (she has been seeker on the team since her second year). Coming from a wealthy pureblood family, Raquel is a little snobby, and can be very judgemental on first impressions. She thrives on the compliments she receives from others, and revels in her spot on the popularity hierarchy.

Serpinia is the oldest daughter of Ernestus and Regina Colubrint. Of course she is a pure blood and all her family members have been to Hogwarts and to no surprise have all been notable members of the noble house of Slytherin. She never had to miss anything in her life and is used to getting her will.
She would never befriend anyone who can’t prove the pure status of his or her blood through several generations and ignores all those of low birth. She’s been heard to regret the downfall of you-know-who although she is too smart to do so publicly. She despises Gryffindors, looks down on Hufflepuffs and only shows some respect for the Ravenclaws. Now that she has been appointed Prefect the lower years have yet another reason to fear her or – in case of the Slytherins – admire her.

Kendra Stevenson is the new Gryffindor prefect, she’s an outstanding student but it would be a lie to say that she wasn’t gobsmacked upon receiving her prefect badge. Because she does not only excel in all of her classes but Divination, she also has been known to be a regular guest in Professor McGonagall’s office. That is mainly due to her inclination to prank unsuspecting Slytherin first years. However it would seem that the teacher have realized that there is no true evilness behind her pranks but just a girl who likes to laugh. And maybe they thought as a prefect she’d behave better. It goes without saying that Kendra also shows all of the valors traditionally identified with Gryffindor. She is courageous, daring and chivalrous.

From Slytherin: Logan (4th year), Nate, Timothy and Charles (5th year)
Logan is an outsider in Slytherin, being only halfblood he is ignored by many of his housemates but that doesn’t prevent him from being just as picky in his social contacts as any of them. Nate is Raquel’s boyfriend and together they are the most popular couple in Hogwarts, he’s been known to be rather arrogant and so despite his looks girls mostly keep their distance (especially as they’re afraid to challenge his girlfriend). Timothy is the closest thing to a friend Serpentinia has ever known, he is quite calm and not much is known about him. Charles can also be found hanging out with Serpentinia a lot when he’s not busy charming other girls. He is certainly the Slytherin with least scruples of mingling with other houses, mainly because he’s already mingled with most of the Slytherin girls of appropriate age.

From Ravenclaw: Jordan & Taylor, Frank  (5th year) & Oliver (4th year)
Jordan is Hogwarts’ Casanova, he likes girls and quidditch, which seem to be his only major interests. Taylor is his best friend and although his interests do not differ much from Jordan’s at least in terms of quantity he is definitely lagging behind. Frank completes the womanizer trio, using his sweet boy charms to make all the younger girls swoon, he is also the Ravenclaw prefect. Oliver is very studious and the best student of his year. Although he hangs out with Frank a lot he’s very calm.

From Hufflepuff: Andy, Brad and Matt (5th year), Cory (4th year)
Andy, Brad, Matt and Cory are the heart and soul of every party. Brad, the prefect, is dating Lydia so he’s off limits but the other guys have been known to be quite charming… But even if you’re not romantically interested, they are always fun to hang out with, all 4 of them!

From Gryffindor: Jason (5th year), Dylan, Casey and Alex (4th year)
Jason is Kendra’s boyfriend and he’s always the first to enter into a fight with any Slytherin coming his way. Dylan, Casey and Alex would then be the ones racing each other to be the second one to enter the fight… Those guys like a good prank and usually hang out with Kendra planning their next strike. However that may well change now that Jason and Kendra have been named prefects.

overall the entires look great but I think I could still place some strategic hints... ^^

Please make sure your character fits into the "normal" Harry Potter worldg (the so-called canon). So don't create Voldemort's daughter, or second cousins to Draco Malfoy,  or Harry's Twin sister or whatever you might come up with... ^^ Although some people might be featured in the contest in later rounds, I'd rather you don't use them for your background!
Also I wanted to let you know that wands usually consist of a certain type of wood and a core... So just specify the type of wood and the material for the core! As for pets... Most usual choices would be Owls, cats, frogs, toads, rats... ^^ just nothing too dangerous or exotic as you won't be able to bring them to hogwarts...
Oh and it woudl be great if you could just put one favorite class...
And it might be a good idea to write up texts in word as it not only prevents you from losing your story when you have internet connection trouble but also provides you with basic spell-checking!

Who is your idol in the magical world?  Mysteria Fotheringham.  She was a witch in the mid-twelfth century who became a hermit in Scotland.  Living only with her pet toad Maxwell, and a very grumpy owl for occasional trips to get her favorite toffee, she spent 72 years in the mountains, finally discovering the secret to a magical language translation spell that works equally well on the written and spoken word.

Do you have a pet?  Yes, a cat named Bubbles (fourth-year present), as well as exclusive use of Rowther, one of the family owls.  He's great at sending messages, but a little tricky in the feeding department.  Recently diagnosed with an allergy to rats.  Makes his feathers fall out.

Me on my way to Flourish and Blotts to stock up on some more obscure spell books.  Gran loves taking pictures.  Bubbles is curled up in the bottom of the bag.  He has attachment issues, can't leave him alone.  I'll probably stop by the pet shop next to see if they have a charmed catnip toy to help calm him down.
