Well, three years ago when I started high school, I was trying to find new friends which is very difficult for me because I'm extremely shy. I've also been told that the first impression I give is that I'm a snob(?) Because I won't talk to people. That's a complete misunderstanding, as it's not that I won't talk to them, it's that I find it difficult to talk to them. I hate being shy, it stinks. So anyway, I was trying really hard to fit in, but then the friends I had kept running away from me, or just not talking to me, or not laughing at my jokes. They just stopped including me, and that was that. I didn't have any friends in my class that ENTIRE YEAR. Every day I came home from school and cried. My school work suffered because I couldn't concentrate.

I couldn't talk to anyone new without stuttering, or without saying something that didn't make any sense because I was just so nervous. Everyone thought that I was a weird loser. I was a complete loner with no friends. After a while, depressing thoughts came into my head like "Why won't they talk to me? What if there's something wrong with me that I can't see and everyone else can? Aren't I pretty? Am I too fat? Maybe I'm not perfect like everyone else. Maybe that's what's wrong with me." *Sighs*... Year 7... Great year...

Well, I did end up finding some great friends. And I love them to bits now. But just last year, one of my original friends from my first year of high school came up to me and said, "Hey, how come you stopped talking to us in Year 7?" I glared at her. "No seriously, I have no idea what happened." I just said "Don't worry." And walked off before I punched her. Those girls gave me a year of hell because they didn't like me for no reason at all, and they don't even know what they did? Pathetic.

PS, Arillyn, in Australia we have Kindergarten, (2 year olds - 4 year olds) then Primary School (5 - 12) then High School (13 - 18) and finally tertiary eduction, like Tafe or Uni. You can have your tertiary education any time you want, but most people go the year after highschool.

Edit: PPS, Teesh, have you started school yet? I'm going back tomorrow.

Our school system is kinda similiar here (Ireland). We have play school (2-4yrs) then primary school (4/5 - 11/12yrs) the secondary school (13-18/19yrs) and college/uni after that

Lots of schools here have the 13 - 18 secondary schools but some (mostly in London and the one i go to) have 12 - 16 as most don't have sixth forms within the school. So when i leave school this year i'm going to a sixth form college (16- 18 yrs)

I get 2 months over summer, 2 weeks over easter, 2 weeks at the end of june - start of july, 2 weeks at the end of september - start of october then mid term break which is the first weekend of november. That's here in Australia, plus I have random days off for no reason.

Jess, I just skimmed over your avatar, but when you said that your friend drew it, I looked back, like: "WOAH." That is awesome!! How old is your friend, because that is an amazing job! Also, how long did it take her to do it? I love drawing, and I'm good, I'm just really slow at it, and haven't been bothered lately

For holidays I get 3 months off at summer (we get them at the end of May) , 2 weeks for christmas, 2 weeks at easter, 1 week for Halloween and 1 week in february (midterm) . I'm getting my February midterm this Friday

He's a boy . He's 15 we're in the same year group in school . It didn't take him long, he done it in his art lesson.

His art class had to choose someone in our year to draw a picture and give it to and he knew i loved Jessie J so he drew the picture using this copy:

Until age of 6 you go to kindergarten, between the ages of 6 or7 until 14  ( 8 years) you go to a primary/elementary school, from 15 to 18 (4 years) you go to highschool. Two main types of higschools are:

- I go to a gimanzija and I  have 17 subjects ( you do not choose the subjects, you have to listen to everything, you can only choos which language besides englis you wish to study ; german, italian,spanish..  I took 2 languages) ... anyhow my subjects:
Croatian,Latin,Music,Art,Psihology,History,Geography,Math,Pysics,Chemistry,Biology,
Informatics,Gym,Religion/ethic,German,English,Italian

In my opinion we dont have a lot of holidays;
2 and a half monthes in summer , from mid June to the first monday in september
2 or 3 weeks ( depending on  the stupid government) in winter
1 or 2 ( look up) for Easter
- if we have 3 weeks in winter we only get 1 week for easter and vice versa
3 one day hollidays over the year

I've started my 2nd semester, and so far I only have one teacher who I'm not so fond of. My Science teacher. She claims to have gone to university and have a degree in science or whatever... but she really doesn't know much. *le sigh*
