CALANDER SHOWING UPCOMING THEMES AND EVENTS

i posted a thread earlier today in the no bugs help section, asking about the calender bit at the bottom of the page.(if you didnt relise it exists, it does, scroll down and look to your left.)

i wanted to know why nothing was ever posted in the calander thing. ever. in the whole 9 months ive been on this awesome site.

someone replied explaing they used to use that calander thing, but everyone just got hacked at them when the themes were released late. so they stopped using it.

i know we have an announcments thing which tells us there is an upcoming theme next week tomorow in 30 seconds ect.

but i'd like it to see what they have planned for the next few months. it would mean those of us who suggest themes for dollphane would know what he had planned, so they wouldnt need to suggest things that were already going to happen.
it would probobly encourage more of the newbies to stick with us, if they saw what themes would be coming in a month or so. (you know, they register, change theyre hair and never leave level one or come back again).

so whos with me? and who isnt.... (i wont get hacked off at you!)

I dunno. It just didn't go well.

They can't even stick to a general outline. Nico gave us a list of themes/events when they removed the calendar. According to it, Disney was supposed to come last month. Steampunk and Lady Gaga were supposed to come this month. Work clothes were supposed to come in February (?) and we've only received four of the many outfits that was supposed to entail (and we didn't even receive those on time; they were late). Dollphane started the vintage series near the end of last year and dropped it without a word.

People already get mad at all of that (and rightfully so). The calendar makes it worse because it gives a tighter deadline.

If they put it back, put when themes are meant to happen and it doesn't happen then people get mad. This is why they stopped using it in the first place. It won't be back. There was a weekly update thread last October/November time with all the themes planned for this year up to about September, so far they have all arrived late (as in the next month to when they are due).

yeah, and i saw that thread earlier. most of it was late.

mabey they shoudl just stick a list of the themes theyre doing, without any dates, in the order they think they'll come in, and change it when they have to. or would that just annoy people more aswell?

Well I doubt even that would work as past themes that were on the calender were just dropped all together.

Unfortunately due to the apparent lack of organisation currently in Bimbo HQ telling us what they are going to do will just be incredibly inaccurate.

sad its a shame how they cant be way more organised. which themes (other than the vintage) did they drop before?

There was supposed to be an African theme of some description which was dropped. However, I will be honest I did stop actually bothering to care what was coming as there seemed no reason to get excited about it any more and it was best just not to know.

Agreeing 100% with this, I don't look forward to themes anymore. Especially when they can't even be bothered to post the previews here they are on Facebook, Twitter and Dollphane's blog!!!!! I haven't got any of the new clothes this week, waiting for the sale despite having 359151bd sitting there doing nothing! Level 45 and nowhere to go and I can't even be arsed to spend the bd!
